Issues with the Option

Specifically, does anybody else find that it can often be easier to pitch the ball while you're being wrapped up by three guys than it is before you've been touched. I've had a lot of times where I'll hit the pitch button, see my players arm extend and then he'll just hold onto the ball. And then other times when I'm wrapped up by multiple people and make some ridiculous BS perfect pitch. Is this an issue for everybody else?

50/50 for me. Sometimes when I pitch it like that, my RB doesn't catch it and it's a fumble. Other times it works. And then there are times where I pitch it long before I get hit and a defender swoops in and miraculously intercepts the ball.

The running back missing the ball because he's run ahead for no reason happens a lot as well. Also, I hate that the running back stops, no matter what, when a pitch is missed. Been screwed over by the plenty of times.
