Yea, I think Roy Williams always retire before Coach K and Duke would dominate UNC in recruiting.

CHoops could learn some things on recruiting from NCAA like having a deeper pipe line. CHoops doesn't even have a pipe line.

Another thing I dislike about CHoops was if a Coach had a very high OVR (default Major conf coaches) they would settle at their school until retirement. n short, Calipari would never leave Memphis.

That's not what happened to me. I don't think I ever saw a cpu coach turn down a better job than what they had (I use the updated rosters so maybe memphis is an elite job in default 2k8). Mark Few is the top mid-major coach and he always leaves when a better job in a major conference opens up.

But I think you have to have goals like CH2k8 did to advance coaching attributes so coach progression is transparent. So achieving the goal lets you put a point in any area of coaching you want.
Goals could be like:
finish the season over .500
win conference
coach a BCS conference team
win a BCS bowl
finish undefeated
sign a ESPN top 150 player
sign a 5*
sign the top player
etc.

Using updated rosters/coaches, he always goes to UConn or Syracuse for me. And I've seen Pastner leave a few times too.

But last night, saw Brad Stevens get fired.

It's because Brad Stevens has bad ratings compared to what he should be rated now in 2011. Choops doesn't let you adjust Coaching Ratings which leads to a dew messed up scenarios when it comes to coaches who moved / switched schools since the game was released.

True. But I still found it funny, since I'm using updated rosters and they're WAY overrated. Should have had a couple seasons of dominance, and it was in year 3 (aka 2012-2013, first year without Mack)

Re: Sell Me On Coaching Carousel

Hopefully I will be happy to say that since the (PSN) is down that I won't miss it since you guys just sold me on CH2K8 (got it at gamestop for $6). I have to see what all the fuss is about. LOL

On a side note 2K should put you guys on payroll.
