So do teams not have names on their jerseys?

If i remember correctly from editing rosters on teambuilder, the generic Position/# aren't filed into the first and last name categories. So the problem could be that the players' first names are QB #7, and their last names are blank.

On the subject of uniform names, here is a very easy way that EA could add more customization to the game:

Why not add a setting allowing the head coach to choose whether or not players get to have their names on their jerseys???

The UW went through a few years where we did not have player names on the jerseys, but after a few seasons they were added back onto the jerseys. Just another simple, easy idea that we won't see until 2030.

Yea I think for Washington Tyrone Willingham had just numbers for like 2 or 3 years. Due to fans complaining he put the names back on.

For the most part I think EA got it right last year with what teams have player surnames on the back and vice versa. San Jose state along with Vanderbilt, Wyoming, Northern Illinois, and Eastern Michigan have the player surnames on their jerseys but didn't last year in NCAA 11.

I don't think it's always the coaches decision rather the athletic department. For example Bowling green had the player names in 2009 and last year they took them off. They had the same coach for those 2 years. In NCAA 11 they were still on. I know for Kansas it was Turner Gill's decision to remove the names from the jerseys.

Notre Dame(Had them on for bowl game)

Troy(For bowl games they put the names on)


Their some teams that don't have names on the back for certain jerseys like Ohio State's pro combat, Air Force thunderbird and Colorado's throwbacks.
