Depends when my usual spot gets it...they said most likely Friday but there is a small chance of them getting it on Wed. If they get it Wed then I'll get it from them, if not I will probably order season ticket on thurs or friday morning.

I really think Season Ticket hurt the chase for the game early. Most people would rather pay $25 for season ticket and get 4 games 4 days early or even just test the games out as opposed to spending the extra $20 most mom and pop shops charge for the early copies.

Re: Early release strategy July 2011

I remember the good old days of the mid 2000s when seemingly every store had the game a few days early. I remember those frantic drives around town after my summer job, hoping a CompUSA or Toys R' Us had the game on shelves earlier than they were supposed. I remember the rush, the excitement, the anticipation....I remember the horrible disappointment as each trip resulted in nothing and I had to wait until that Tuesday in July to rush to gamestop and get my beloved game.

I definitely will get season ticket on the 5th so I get some "practice" games in versus some guys on my friends list. Just testing out our custom playbooks.

My thought exactly.

It seems like for years it was a privileged few who could find a "mom and pop" that sold the game 3-4 days early but not everyone who wants it can get four major EA sports titles 3 full days early every time, with no hassle.
