Re: Kudos to EA for making concious effort to space out roster ratings.

I like the OL and DL ratings that i saw they were both pretty realistic accept for the awareness of the offensive linemen way too many guys with poor overall awareness that will hurt the game for blitz pickups

The thing i didn't like was the abundance of DB's rated in the 90's

We all know there are very few great DB's in college or Pro.....not sure why EA flooded the default rosters with lots of 90+ corners and safeties.

But it could be a result of them really boosting up the Zone coverage ratings in order to make the Zone better this year

Overall though i think they did a good job of spreading out the ratings especially with speed and acceleration for Defensive Linemen those are way down from what i could see

That's what I'm getting at.

I hope the CPU generated guys don't dwarf the real Freshman Studs by year 2. Clowney, who was far and away the unanimous #1 HS player in America is an 83 on the rosters. Most of the rest of the top Freshman are around 72-79ish.

Our OD group is going to sim some seasons, get a gauge on how the CPU generated studs look, then possibly re-rate accordingly if need be so that the default Freshman don't get lost in a sea of 80+ rated CPU generated Freshmen.

Hopefully the CPU generated guys are about the same and no adjustments will be needed.

Welcome to the world after the lawsuit... Everyone waits on rosters, so that isn't the biggest deal.

What we need from the roster guys is the playmaker keys to rating areas that make the game better that EA missed, but this year they have more right than wrong for once on most ratings

I agree, great job spreading the ratings, even though a few were over rated/under rated. I'm playing offline only this year, so it's no biggie, I'll re-rate myself as I see fit. Looking forward to reports of 1st few recruiting classes.

Me too. After a Named roster comes out, I will make rating changes.

Isiah Crowell, UGA's prize running back recruit is a solid 81 OVR. Should be interesting.

That's why it would have been great if you could edit ratings in dynasty. If you think the recruits are coming in too high or low, you could edit accordingly, or if you thought players were progressing too much or too little, you could edit accordingly. If only EA had a spare 10 minutes...
