Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

This is really useful as claims like progression makes dynasty "unplayable" are ridiculous without some kind of factual evidence to back those kinds of statements up.

Jumping from my count 196 90+ players in the base roster to 392 90+ players in Season 6 (counting Season 1 with base rosters, and so forth) is basically a 2% jump in "elite" players.

That hardly makes the game unplayable especially if the overall ratings are being boosted by AWR.

And Season 4 (Season 3 in your chart) there's actually a regression to the base roster.

I think a slight tune to coach/player progression is in order, but I can't imagine it makes dynasty unplayable.

If coach prestige has a heavy effect on player progression, then I think we've found the problem if the 90+ ovr players are consistently above 300 in total.

Good luck getting a good job with 75 coaches rated A and above.

If they fix coach prestige it may fix progression.

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Wow, season 5 looks rediculous. Dynasty to me is unplayable with that many players rated in the high 90's. So is there what 10+ QB's with throwing accuracy and throwing power 95+ too? If those 2 ratings were lower and it was awareness that was high i could deal with it but I have a feeling thats not the case.

WOw..that coach prestige is out of control. That is most likely the reason for the growing 90 rated players. But lots of time left to see.

I don't see how the amount of players rated above 90 on computer team makes the game unplayable?

I agree its to much, but I think people are jumping high bc returning starters get a boost in AWR. I just look at it like more.

Re: Statistical Look at Progression (Ongoing)

Good stuff. Clearly the ratings are being skewed later in dynasty. Coaches especially, their progression is waaaay out of whack. But you can clearly see more and more high rated players and less and less low rated players. It's clearly not balancing out.
