I put a hardline time down that if the patch doesn't come out by next Tuesday, the game was going back to the store. This whole "interview" just reinforced that.
While I didnt set a hardline timeline, I did take a wait and see approach. I waited and I saw. What did I see (hear)? An incredibly smug and arrogant man who basically scoffed anyone who purchased this game. I wasnt expecting a handout or a big, drawn out apology. A little dignity and respect for those affected wouldve sufficed.

For me, this interview will linger. Especially when and if I ever consider a EA Ncaa purchase in the future.

The mindset of not feeling bad about the product that was release. Not showing gratefulness to the fans such as our selves who are the hardcore of the hardcore. We are part of the biggest sports video game website on the internet and our voice has help change things in their products for the better. Yet we get "laughed" at or mocked. A simple act of showing as if YOU CARE THAT YOUR GAME IS BROKEN would make people not feel slighted.

Then you got the online dynasty issues what is causing massive amount of dynasties to fail thus making the online dynasty feature worthless. It is one of the biggest selling points for a lot of people and it does not work correctly.

I am just going to stop talking because this is one area that really gets me fired up. It is one thing for us the fans to be loyal to a company and their product. But when that loyalty is not returned and instead you slap your user base in the face......something HAS to change!
Phobia,

why on earth would you have bought an EA title at release after the debacle that was Fight Night Champion?

They basically tried to mute you from speaking the truth about the bugs, glitches and false advertising. They lied about things and then by all accounts made the game worse with patches and tuners and even took out advertised features leaving us with an unplayable, glitchy, freezing game that they don't intend on fixing.

Anyway, this is the first year since Bill Walsh Football that I didn't grab NCAA football the first week. I'll keep watching the forum periodically to see if they make some Holy Grail of patches.

But I am thankful for websites such as OS....you saved me $60 and countless hours of frustration on this title.

Yea Fist me and you know some of the under workings that went in after community day. But I am not going to get into those again. It was wrong and should of never went down the way it did, but that is for another story.

As far as getting this on release day. This is what happened.

I was contemplating selling my PS3 because I don't use it very often, is hooked up in my bedroom and is mainly just a DVD/Blueray player or Netflix. Everything I have on it was non-sport single player stuff. I use my 360 for everything else.

Well I told my girlfriend, I am thinking of selling PS3. She asks me why and I explain because the lack of use. Well she says "Go get a football game you can lay in bed and just play by yourself".

So I thought BRILLIANT women!! I was not planning on getting NCAA 12 but this would be perfect just to play offline franchise while laying in bed and give me a sport game on my PS3 which I can play for years.

That is what happened!

Wow, its fistofrage. You made the best sliders imo, Ive been looking all over for you hoping you would post a set. Anyway, nice to see you around.

Ive accepted the fact the NCAA 12, barring an act from Jesus himself, is going to be a lost cause. Clearly, buying an EA game at release would be incredibly foolish. I have until Sept. 4th to get $30 trade in value towards Madden for NCAA. What should I do? Get M12 but not open it until the community looks it over? I want to salvage something from NCAA, God knows it wont be from playing the game. Im now conditioned to deem every "new feature" as broken, overdone, or not working as intended/advertised and it shouldnt be that way.

I know Ben is the producer of the game, but who is Ben's boss? I know there has to be someone above him right? Just wondering.

Thanks man. I may get NCAA football if I find it on the cheap or if the patch rectifies alot of the issues.

Last year I poured alot of summer evenings testing the game and then they totally changed everything with the patch and tuners and the sliders had to be totally revamped. Fast forward to this year, Fight Night Champion where they didn't address the major freezing glitches and bugs and tuned and patched the game from a really decent title to a steaming pile of rubbish with no intentions of fixing the game breaking bugs, glitches, etc.

No way was I buying an EA title at launch ever again. I have pre-ordered the Madden title this year because it was $44.99 with free shipping. I won't even be opening it until I see all the OS reviews. If they come back bad, I think I can sell it for $50 right away. But even that no lose situation is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

But I feel so much better without the frustration this year. No more tuning sliders and tweaking the game only to come to the conclusion after countless hours that no sliders or house rules can eliminate bad programming.

As grandpa used to say, "Son, quit trying to make sense outta nonsense."

Most women would just hand you a magazine or order some PPV... your girlfriends quote just leaves the door open on too many levels....
