Bye bye NC shot.
Same here, only in week 2 of the season. First game as USF, beat ND 21-3, then for some reason after it gets advanced it says I lost 20-16. Really pissed me off right there.

As far as playing goes, me and a friend of mine used to always play each other in NCAA 11, and the games almost always come down to the last possession. He got me one time when I got a pick-6 called back for clipping with like 10 seconds left in the game, and then he won in OT. Another time I iced him before he took the game winning 50 yard field goal, and it ricoched off the post and in. And finally when he was trying to set up a game tying field goal, his RB broke literally 6 tackles and scored to win that game.

Re: Worst Way to Lose a Game

I had a game a couple seasons ago in my dynasty where I had my WR wide open on the slant and, of course, he doesn't attempt to catch the ball. The ball hits him on the helmet and a linebacker intercepted it.

Kind of pissed me off. Yea.

To make matters worse, I tried to strip the ball with my QB and he ended up getting injured for a few weeks.

Re: Worst Way to Lose a Game

Just lost two heart breakers today to two top 25 teams:

Stanford: I got to the 5 yardline and down by 2 with 9 seconds left. I didnt have enough time to select FG and had to run a play. Ran a slant route and got sacked! Felt bad because I had no more timeouts!

Oregon: Played a killer game! Went into overtime after us scoring back to back several times, they went for 2 and failed! I got ball back and couldnt complete one pass to get into the endzone!!!! I needed a TD with XP to win. Final score 52-58...These wins would of put me in the top 25 with Colorado

Re: Worst Way to Lose a Game

Mine was actually in Madden against a friend in a Madden tourney of ours. I was Minnesota and he was the Eagles. I scored to go up with something like 4 seconds left, so I squibbed the kickoff and it hit one of his guys and he fell on the ball with 1 second left around midfield. He then threw a hailmary that TO caught in the endzone with no time left on the clock. It was horrible. I heard about the game from him for months...

My worst NCAA loss was to the same friend. I was FSU and he was Texas with Vince Young at QB, and of course he just cheesed with him all game. I scored a TD on all five of my possessions, and I stopped him for a field goal on one of his. The only problem was he got six possessions, so he beat me 38-35. He couldn't come close to stopping me all game but I still lost the game. Such a crappy feeling.

Re: Worst Way to Lose a Game

I'm playing for the Big Ten championship, it's 4th and 5 in my opponent's territory, and my TE is wide open and planted, and my QB is planted, he throws it, and it flies off 6-7 yards at least to the right of my TE, who's a couple of yards beyond the line. Combine that with the fact I couldn't get full power on 2 FGs that I barely missed(Why must online kicking be so much harder ), and one of the best defensive jobs I've done against the guy I was playing against, and this is one of those losses where it's a barrage of gut punches.

Missed extra point in OT. Yeah, I'm THAT guy. Needless to say I had to buy a new controller after that one.

If you had enough time to run a slant route, you should have spiked the ball, unless it was 4th down.

Re: Worst Way to Lose a Game

National title game, playing as Ohio State, forget who I was playing. Overtime, CPU got ball first and scored (I can't remember if FG or TD). I then have 4th and goal from the 1, I can't remember if I had to go for it or I decided to go for the W. Anyways, I pick a pass play, nothing open right away, I see an opening on the left side I dart to it, get hit right at the goaline, my QB falls forward, TD, but wait, he doesn't have the ball with them, he fumbled the ball when he was hit falling into the endzone, other team gets it, I lose
