As the HC, can your OC leave for better job?

As the HC, can your OC leave for better job?

Been playing with Clemson, the offense has been in the top 5 in everything for 5 years and no one offers my guy a HC or better OC job.

Also, my DC has had a very bad defense, can he not get fired?

if there is another thread dedicated to this, can you point me in that direction?

thanks

Had the same questions myself. In year 5 of on OD with Arizona State. My OC and DC consistantley are in the top 5 on stats. They are both achieving their goals every year so their Stability is high, not sure why these guys arent getting offers ??

I actually don't know the answer to this. But...

Since it'd be realistic and something easily implemented, I'm going to guess that, no, it's not in this game.

i haven't seen a coordinator leave out from under me yet, and i'm in year 2017. now i have seen my oc and dc as targets but nothing came from them. the only time i saw a change was when i left to take another job. the oc became the head coach. once again, i don't think the design of coaching carousel has the right codes to simulate those types of changes with the user controlled team. it's kinda like in madden in years past you would have to play all teams just to get more accurate draft classes or free agent signings. hopefully they improve on cc next year.

Re: As the HC, can your OC leave for better job?

I just finished my first year as HC for Tenn. I'm in year 2021 and Tenn had dropped down to a 2 star team with an 86 ovr rating. I finished the season in the top ten with a 10-3 record. However, My DC was not resigned after his 2 year contract had expired and his rating was a C+. SMU signed him as their DC.

I have yet to see this. I don't think they can get better offers. reason I say this is when I resigned a contract they resigned as well. which maybe it kinda stupid.

My Arkansas St dynasty had my DC leave after the first year. I dont remember if his contract ran out or not though. He was a C- when he left I believe.

That said, I have yet to see any highly rated OC/DC leave under me

The reality of the situation is that there is no oc or dc when you are the head coach. You are in charge of everything. I guess in a way it wouldn't make sense to have the coordinators get rewarded or punished when they are, in fact, not doing anything. Actually the whole interplay of coordinator and head coach is very superficial anyway. You can only make sense of it when it comes to teams controlled by the CPU.
