The biggest problem I had was how easy it was to progress. I was a 99 OVR QB with 99 THP and 99 THA in my freshman year.

I'm trying to wrap my head around how anybody would think this was the best way to represent "putting yourself in the game". Outside of the High School season this RTG is worse than last years. The whole increase your skills in packages is a terrible idea on top of being implemented poorly.

There should be drills to improve. I think the coaches trust should only be link to your players position on the depth chart. It makes no sense to have to earn the things no coach would take away in the first place.

The worst part of RTG for me in the inability to create a safety. Yeah I can make one, but every time I get to college all the skill upgrades I get offered are geared towards a WR and not a FS.

Agreed. I think the skill points system is the wrong way to improve in BAP modes, but if your going to have it don't make it so easy and/or sporadic.

The 5 minute quarter limit ruined the mode for me! The named rosters isn't completely bad, but c'mon... Step your game up, EA. Ever since 2K lost the football license, EA's being getting lazier and lazier.

I was prepared for there to be some things about the mode that may not have been up to par. Even though it's been around forever it has mainly been a side show not the main attraction. But I found way too many things about the mode that weren't up to par(some really inexplicable).

-You can't adjust the time limit. Really can't understand how the dev saw this as a legit way play the mode. The point is to try to emerge yourself in the game. How can I with 5min quarters?(this was by far the thing that makes the mode unplayable for me).
-Your player progesses way too quickly.(After my experiences with MP not too surprised about this)
-Once again named rosters can't be used
-For all the improvements and hype the mode really didn't contain anything innovative.

Hopefully all of these things find themselves workout in NCAA 13 as of now I don't even play NCAA 12.
I started a QB RTG and was quickly fed up with how few passes I threw. I was a pocket passing QB, too. I think in my first two games, I had nine pass attempts. So, I just run the no huddle when a passing play is actually called.

Five minute quarters is lame and makes you just want to rush through the high school season, which is really too bad.

Re: What I'm most disappointed with. (RTG)

I have only been playing RTG mode, and I, like many others, am extremely frustrated with obvious flaws.

Quarters being locked at 5 minutes practically makes this mode useless. Playcalling gets messed up because it always seems like you're playing with less than 2 minutes. Stats are completely screwed up because you or your opponent has 75% less time to accumulate stats, throwing off all of the league rankings, etc.

Progression is way too fast, also, and if they had appropriate quarter lengths, this would be even more out of whack. Very disappointing as this mode has so much potential.

In case it helps others, I am still playing RTG, albeit while having to overlook many, many flaws. I posted a slider set in the Slider forum that's constantly being tweaked, but a decent base to work with. Because I like to play with real names, what I have been doing is just choosing a freshman QB from the existing teams and playing my RTG as them. It's kinda fun that way...

Yeah I created myself on the school I wanted to go to. Complete kills the best part of the mode but atleast you get the names.

I would suggest next year they add more to the recruiting process coming out of high school, but this game is so far behind in simple things not sure they would have the time to expand on the mode. I truly regret buying this game.
