CPU Late Hits To Death

With the suction tackling canned animations out the game, the CPU has free reign to late hit. I have seen my player get pushed all the way into the bench area by the CPU with no flags. They constantly hit out of bounds.

I can top that. I was playing at Washington and my QB had to scramble... he's a pure pocket passer... speed is like 58... anyway, he gets out of the pocket, picks up the first down and is heading for the sideline... he has one foot out of bounds and gets hit and fumbles... the ball goes onto the field and their linebacker runs over, steps out of bounds and then recovers the ball.

So... my QB was out of bounds when he was hit late, the recovering LBer was out of bounds when he recovered the ball and yet, Washington was awarded the ball, they then scored, sending the game into OT.

Luckily I won... but I was so pissed because A:} My guy was already out of bounds when he was hit and fumbled... B:} It was a late hit and C:} The guy who recovered the ball was standing out of bounds when he did so.

This kind of junk makes the game so unenjoyable.

Re: CPU Late Hits To Death

I could deal with the suction tackling over the hunching animation thats in the game now my qb scrambles and gains about 23 yards to about the 8 yardline gets hit and and goes down for about 2 seconds THEN the ball comes out the de scoops it up and runs it back for a td with me(qb) and my wr, te, and rb running beside him just hunching their shoulders and not attempting to tackle him I dove at him but the hesitation between button press and tackle force me to miss. The bad part about it was the game wouldn't let me challenge and the booth wouldn't review it.

Yeah I don't really understand what is going on with penalties. They also pass intefere all the time. I have played 100s of games not once has this been called.

No doubt...illegal touching occures all the time in this game. I've seen my own receiver closest to the sideline run a 10 yard in pattern. As he is streaking down the sideline he ends up out of bonds and then cuts in and catches the ball. I've seen comeback routes by the sideline where the WR momentum wil take them out of bounds and then he'll cut back up field to catch the ball. I feel you.

Re: CPU Late Hits To Death

I scrambled around a DE once and when I approached the safety i decided to step out of bounds rather than take a hit. I was out of bounds adn the safety stopped, but the DE who I had already ran past must have not heard the whistle and went into a tackle animation( the two other defensive players closer to the play already stopped). My QB was already a little tired and this hit pushed him over the limit and caused him to get hurt. So not only was there no late hit but my Qb was out 7 weeks.

I sorta love this stuff, actually. Makes it a little more random/edgy. Ref mistakes, blown calls, cheap shots - stuff to get mad at. I know it isn't by design, and they won't put it in the game, so for me this is one of the only ways we can see that stuff. So if my QB gets hit late... well then it is ON. I took 3 roughing the passer penalties in a row once after my QB got hit late. I enjoy that maybe I might feel 'cheated', otherwise the whole game can feel too antiseptic.

LOL that would be great if only they had an unneccessary roughness penalty in the game period. Then blown calls would make sense because of the human/virtual referee element. But, without the other side of the coin the CPU has free reign to injure your players w/o consequense. I will be very upset if one of my star players ever get hurt because of a late hit that'll never get called .
