It's just irritating to see a good forum being degraded to simple whining.

This isn't directed at your post, it's thought out and well put to show the grievance, it's more so directed at the posts that are generally just there to incite more problems, rage and annoyance.

I also never really expected Tiburon to be crystal clear and be on here like the buddies they would seem to be during pre game hype. When you buy a car, the dealer will pretend like your long time friend and you cannot live without the car. As soon as your signature is on the dotted line, they are gone. Same general idea.
I just bought a 2011 Chevy Silverado on July 4. It's a beautiful truck. Two weeks after I bought it, I was still getting calls from the dealership asking me how I liked it or if I had questions. Big, chain dealership, too. That has also happened with my realtor. He continues to send birthday cards and $25 gift cards during Christmas. When I buy another rig, I'm going to that same dealership. When I sell my house, I'm calling the same agent who helped us buy our house.

Point is, it *might* be that way, but it doesn't have to be. EA thrives on repeat customers, so some adequate customer service would probably serve them well, IMO. Really, all most of us want is adequate.

Also, I did acknowledge that they don't need to come to OS. But they could post more on their Twitter, such as quick updates. It doesn't have to be intimate at all. Just throw us a bone every once in a while.

I do think most of the developers read OS. ODogg got a shout out from the development team about the dread locks. So, they're around. Trust me.

Those two examples are exceptions not the case, good that your getting good service. We had the opposite with a brand new 07 Aveo that my parents bought, now the suspension and transmission is shot and the dealership won't even help us locate parts.

I was just saying, it's the same show and dance yearly and it's generally that way for video games, especially sports games. It's not ideal and I don't like it. I agree with you clarity and quality would be a refreshing change, but it's obvious that Tiburon isn't going that far.

I don't deny that the devs read this site, but not as much as some people think. I do agree with your ideals, but I don't believe we will get that out of Tiburon / EA. Quality should be improved. After the debacles with Madden and NCAA I hope EA is holding the lighter under Tiburon.

You guys can't compare a car to a video game, each car is unique. Two of us could go buy the same car built right after one another and have a uniquely different result. There are 100,000 components that go into each car made by various technologies with various levels of control and its the same for every OEM.

In general we all bought the same NCAA 12, they program the game and then copy it.

How is each car unique. If you buy the same model as someone else, it should be the same car. Yes there are optional additions which could very easily be compared to time savers. I was using it as an example of a sales model, not a quality model.

Not to mention, a car is a major purchase that is financed for most people. Its a relative investment. Comparing purchasing cars and video games isn't necessarily supporting a stance or building a platform to have a legitiment complaint. Does the purchaser have a claim to dispute the product this year? Perhaps. There is plenty of evidence that support such a claim. Unfortunately, based on the minimal individual investment by the individual consumer, EA has demonstrated that they aren't taking a proactive customer service, or public relations for lack of better words, on this issue.

Unfortunately, as the consumer, we are all held hostage until the patch actually dropped. Therefore, as the consumer, you have three choices: wait for the patch while continuing to play the game, wait for the patch and don't play the game, or return/sell the game and be finished with this particular series. Acting as if this incident will deter an extremely large and loyal fan base is beyond irrational. Whether right or wrong, EA has a monopoly on college football gaming. Therefore, there isn't the competitive element to produce a quality game and/or patch in an appropriate amount of time.

Buried in all the disappointment of needing a patch in itself and the long, drawn out wait, the bigger issue is why can't we see the emergence of a 2K product, or any other reputable brand, that keeps EA in check? That my fellow OSers is what this series truly needs...

Within the several hundreds of thousands of components that go into a car, each has its own process variation.

For the most part the guys that are selling the cars have very little to no knowledge of what is going into the cars other than the buzzwords they are given to sell with.

Re: NCAA Football 12 Title Update #2 - Waiting on Approval From Microsoft and Sony

I honestly don't believe 2K can produce a viable football game on this generation. It's way too late to make a new engine with a new generation of systems coming out in the next five years. If anyone makes a true competitor it would be 505, and even then it would only be a competitor to Madden in the NFL department, it would be odd to see them leap from the generic football scene to college football. They have NM, and a basic (very basic) system in place to create a game, BB is a far cry from being a competitor to Tiburon in anyway, but if they could get the on the field game down properly I'm sure many would overlook a deep franchise mode. I'd put my money on 505, rather than 2K.

Also, I was saying as a concept, for a sale, not for a purchase and not for quality purposes. It was an elaboration on a previous subject, I know buying for a car is very different than buying a video game.
