The Post-Patch Custom Playbooks

I finally completed my first post-patch custom playbook, a Pistol/Spread book using Mississippi State as a base (for Wildcat Spread and the Wishbone goal line).

Other than being stuck with one Flexbone formation and three Shotgun formations with only 1 play in them (2 Trips and Normal), it works well. I like the order the formations are in now, a lot better than before. It grouped my gun Wing formations together.

I am about to make a more multiple book to see how it looks, probably using TCU or Virginia Tech as a base.

I'm just now experimenting with custom playbooks, and my primary interest is creating ones for the teams I face so that they don't run plays that never work on offense (like the read option) or blitz to the hilt on defense.

I tried to edit a 43 playbook and eliminated the double safety blitzes as well as the entire 1-5-5 formation. When I played the game, however, both of these were still in the game. Is there something going on here?

Has anyone else noticed that the post-patch Maryland I is FB, HB, HB instead of FB, FB, HB?

Both of them? Maryland I Tight was FB, FB, HB and Maryland I with the split end was FB, HB, HB before the patch. Which I always thought was weird because packages could get you either one of those.

Haven't noticed that yet.

Has there been any indication as to why there are only three Maryland I plays now?

And again, I'll echo others comments - how is it that the Patch made more problems than it fixed? I spent a good chunk of time making a playbook, only to have to do it again because the patch screwed it all up. Very disappointing.

yeah it is all messed up my play book has black screen where a formation is supposed to be and i have both maryland I formations in my play book but only one of them shows up.

I created my custom O and D books after the patch and it SEEMS as though I can no longer access "package subs" at the playcall menu...

Can anyone confirm this or tell me what I might be doing wrong?

I was under the assumption that they were accessible by the right stick while the playcall screen was up?

I have a question about using CPBs for the CPU.

I created a Pro one using Washington and a 43 base, and I've basically edited out the screens, read options and big blitz packages from those books. I'm assigning those books to teams I play to see how they work, and somehow, it seems they're not always actually being used.

Like I played Auburn recently and assigned them the Washington edited boo, and they came out and played with their Auburn offense. I was totally shocked.

Is there some extra step you have to do to get the playbook to stick beyond assigning it in the advanced option when you're setting up a game before starting the actual game?
