I don't know why but the "LOL" at the end of that concerns me..

Re: What June 4th means to NCAA 13.

Remember this snippet from the NCAA 13 website months ago:

"NCAA Football 13 takes the journey of the college athlete to the next level of depth and authenticity. Experience the pride and pageantry of gameday Saturday with an enhanced in-game presentation, new traditions, and an all-new collision system. Make an impact by leading your team to the National Championship."

I believe the collision system is what the hype is all about and will also be in NCAA too. Just watch.

If this "thing" was really in NCAA I don't know why they would risk showing "old" footage to potential customers. That said, if they have one central gameplay team for both NCAA and Madden, I don't see why it shouldn't be included in the game.

Re: What June 4th means to NCAA 13.

..."Absolutely no one is prepared for what they will finally see on June 4th...", and the best quote from him

I appreciate confidence when developing / hyping your own product, however the first quote should be taken with a grain of salt....

This is the quote that has me most intrigued.

..."This makes Backbreaker look like a game that was created by elementary kids..."

The mere reference to Backbreaker is certainly a compelling argument for RTP in the announcement. This is very exciting.

Backbreaker has nothing else of noteworthy importance, except real time physics. This is what most of the madden and NCAA community has been craving since BB was released. One can only hope.

That's it. I have no doubt that it's physics based tackling. That's TWO quotes now that I've seen from EA regarding improving the defensive gameplay. They have kept this more secret than Area 51; there has to be physics involved.

Also found this little tidbit from Richard Hilleman:
Quote:
The defensive side of the football has been long overdue for a revamp. The last major change to the defensive controls came in Madden NFL 05 with the introduction of the hit stick. Hopefully this retooling will also address the poor awareness demonstrated by the secondary in last year’s game and mark the return of true gang tackling. If the new approach to defense was developed by EA Tiburon’s shared technology group, there is a chance these features could extend over to NCAA Football as well.

Yea I agree. That's got to be it. I think they want Madden to get the glory for it but will definitely be shared.

Thank you. The most tired phrase used on this site. Game Title, Year of the Game's Previous Release '__.5.

I think the monumental change to Maddens gameplay is KINECT. It says so on the Madden cover.
