Re: The Progression Thread 2013.

This is a pretty deep drop off from last season. I have to leave and wont be able to post more results until later but.. this is a little more of a drop than I'd care to see.

Re: The Progression Thread 2013.

that being said..

the schools ranked "A" go from 27 in year 2 to 15 in year 4.
B+ schools only change by 2.

Lots of D's.

So it seems that while theres a drop off at the top, there's increase at the bottom to match. Can't say I'm too concerned yet

I think it would help to have all the letter grades instead of just A+ thru B+ and and just showing D+

Re: The Progression Thread 2013.

I put up an article with some results I did. A little more rudimentary than this study might turn out to be perhaps. I was pleased with the results.

This has me hopeful and scared haha. Thanks a lot for doing this man. I'll run the same test when I'm done download, and we can compare.

Man the menus are horrible. Who the heck designed them? Sometimes simple is better, people.

And the PS3 still has slow down in game, although the jaggies are down from the demo.

The manual totally skips hot routes and position audibles. I dont need it, but someone new might. Theyve listed def keys only. No line audibles or hot routes for offense listed either.

Still lots left to look at

Re: The Progression Thread 2013.

Looking at the Year 5 video that was posted, I'm fine with it falling off a bit, but the breakdown is:

3 A+
4 A
3 A-
4 B+
4 B
3 B-
9 C+
9 C
14 C-
30 D+
15 D
24 D-

I like that they've gone down some, and I think we agree the default rosters are inflated a bit, but there shouldn't be more D teams than A-C combined, the 22nd best team in the country should still be in the B range, and there shouldn't be D's sneaking around just outside the top 50. I feel like "even" (and don't take this for an idea of perfect, I just made up numbers off the top of my head) would be around 15 As, 25 Bs, 35 Cs, and 38 Ds. That is to say, in general, the curve should be backloaded, but not nearly that much.
