Re: INT's are too much.

the problem is we've grown used to just chucking the ball down field and hoping for the best. WR do drop open passes especially passes over 15 yards. that's FOOTBALL!!! DB's do pick passes that's FOOTBALL!!!

Ratings really do matter for the quarterback position this year. Your receivers may be open but that doesn't guarantee your QB is going to lay it on them every year like years past. If you've got a mediocre QB, you've got to pay attention to your footwork because if you're even slightly throwing the ball on the run or while drifting off your back foot, it will lead to some god awful throws. A big part of my passing game with Nebraska is roll outs and sprint outs and play action reads and Martinez is about as wild as it gets, which is pretty accurate if you ask me. If forces me to really focus on getting him set up in the passing game.

You've got to change how you throw. Last year you had to wait for your guy to clear the defense and come open, if you're waiting for that this year, you're throwing it way too late. You've got to force some throws and you've got to keep the ball in your pocket or dump it off on others. Timing is pretty key. Also remember that there are some really sloppy route designs in this game which can lead to defenders to making up ground where they otherwise shouldn't.

You'll throw some picks, you've got to be more precise.
Timing and anticipation is huge this year, which makes the game pretty enjoyable IMO.

I like the way they turned up the interceptions this year, especially online.

Simple. It is too easy to complete a high percentage of your throws yet the cpu is too punitive on the one 50/50 ball you throw all game.

I play on Heisman and complete over 70% of my passes but, I've thrown 10 picks in 8 games. I believe I've only played one game where I haven't thrown a pick. And I'm pretty darn conservative with my throws.

Honestly, the most common pick I throw is when my receiver has a step on the defender and the lead pass trajectory that has worked all game all of the sudden doesn't and I end up with a flat trajectory pass that ends up 5 yards short of my receiver and directly to the defender making a perfect over the shoulder catch. I have never, ever, ever seen a defender drop that pass. Ever.

All in all coverage could stand to be a tad bit tighter. QBs a tad less accurate. And defenders need to get more swats and breakups and less picks.

Re: INT's are too much.

I like the new passing system. You can actually lead the receiver now instead of throwing it who knows where. It's so much easier to hit a big play on single coverage with hot routes now. I normally am a gunslinger when it comes to passing and throw a fair amount of picks but I haven't thrown that many on this one.

Pro style with short, smart passes but yet somehow they manage to pick it off when playing it safe. If i make a bad pass then it's on me, but i'm seeing player sliding, safteys being 15 yards behind and then when i pass there able to make up all the ground on the receiver and intercept it? How is that realism
