Re: NCAA too easy

I absolutely agree that slowing the game speed makes the game easier. IT also makes the game look better, but since we are talking from strictly a difficulty perspective, yeah, these guys are right on. I typically take sliders designed for slow speed and play on normal anyway since slow is just too easy if you are used to reacting on normal or fast speed. Jarrod plays on very fast which I give mad props for since that is very difficult.

As noted, the super-sim system stinks, so, that covers that. As far as what is happening on your side of the ball, maybe set some house rules for yourself. If you run a blitz all the time that always works, don't call that anymore, stuff like that. Force yourself to mix up the play calling more, don't rely on money plays. If you want realism, if you want a challenge, you can't just depend on the game to provide it, you gotta make an effort too.

Although, as stated, I highly doubt even with super sim you would go undefeated with Jarrod's black set sliders

I guess I'm so use to playing at faster speeds that it doesn't feel like that to me.. I still see stuff develop naturally.. NCAAs Fast/Very Fast gamespeed is slower the Maddens so I really see things develop smoother.. I guess if your use to playing on slower speeds it will look like that if you test it out at faster speeds because the gameplay looks like it's dragging to me when I play on slower speeds.. But like I said to each his own..

Re: NCAA too easy

I don't think playing on a slower speed really makes the game "easier", when you factor in changes to sliders. It may if you were playing the default AA/Heisman.

It just makes the game play smoother. It may work for some, but I absolutely hate the game on a very fast speed. There's no fluidity in the run game, It's just "bang bang", some contact and the play is done.. especially trying to run North and South. On the flip side, the passing game is actually more enjoyable on the default speed, rather than slow. It seems the routes look better and are easier for me to follow, even if the game is moving faster.

I do agree that we all see and want something different in the game, though. That's the beauty of us having the choice to play on whichever speed we prefer. It helps to cater to all of us and our football needs.

I guess it just depends on what you are use to playing on because it don't feel like a "bang bang" run play to me playing on fast and very fast. I still see stuff develops naturally in the run game and I'm able to make my cutbacks inside or outside without getting caught up quick because of the gamespeed. The margin for making a mistake is shorter because the gameplay is quicker but once you get use to it playing on faster speeds it becomes natural.. Once you become use to one speed the other speeds aren't going to feel natural to you..

I see what your saying. I can't count how many times my RB or QB got caught up on lineman and then I get tackled. So faster gamespeed helps that?

Naw that still happens even on faster speeds. I hate when that happens too.. Haha! I was just saying I could still see things develop on faster speeds because I'm use to it.

Yeah man I HATE when I get caught up on players. But yeah I get what you mean. And I'm sure after playing on faster speeds its a drag to play on normal or lower lol.

Yeah it is drag for me.. Haha! But I can see how the gamespeed can be too much for guys who are use to slower speeds..
