Not sure what I think about Ark. St, has anyone moved them the sunbelt? I think a move to the Big East would make the most sense.
I'm in the fourth year of my dynasty & Arkansas State has gone undefeated twice & have only lost 2 games this season against my team & Alabama. That's crazy.

About Notre Dame, They are a powerhouse in my offline dynasty. Top 3 recruiting class each year & top 10 BCS rating. I don't know exactly what Brian Kelly has working in South Bend but EA likes it.

Re: Notre Dame

I'm seeing Notre Dame and Army, actually. I think it has to do with them being Ind.; this allows them to play crappy teams and go undefeated. I have to schedule Army every year, to make sure they don't go No. 1 lol. I can usually rely on ND to lost to either Michigan or, oddly, BC every year, which is good.

Well, Army's schedule might be easy, but Notre Dame's is not...

For a team with a pathetic secondary, their best DE transferring, zero skill at reciever, and a terrible QB situation, its funny they have like a 95 OFF and 97 DEF.

ND true freshman QB was rated as an 86OVR! (I think)

FSUs QB, who won the Elite Eleven QB tournament (ND QB couldn't even qualify for the tournament) was ranked a 5 star like the ND QB, but FSUS QB is like a 77OVR in the default rosters.

Its just a game, but I did find it disappointing that I had to play ND in the MNC. They are clearly a few years away from having the type of roster capable of going undefeated. They might as well of had me playing Wake Forest or Washington State.
Sigh. A lot of this is just annoying to read.

I'll agree with you on one point. EA did bump ND up a bit too much this year, but this is the first year they've ever done that with ND believe me. They've gotten the short end of the stick ratings-wise every year. They didn't even have Harrison Smith in the game last year (1st round draft pick) and were missing a couple other starters. This year is the most accurate that the ND rosters have been. QB position is a bit overrated (the top 3 should all be bumped down about 3-5 points ovr), and Goodman at WR is too high, but everything else is good.

The secondary is not pathetic. Not even near it. They routinely started 5 d-backs last year, so both the FS and SS are returning starters. Their #1 CB is Bennett Jackson who was called "the best DB I've coached" by ND's D-backs coach in the spring. The only question mark in the secondary is the #2 corner.

"Zero" skill at receiver is amusing. TJ Jones is a 2-year starter and has put up good numbers especially considering Rees forced the ball to Floyd and Eifert every play. John Goodman had a great spring and by all accounts emerged as the #1 receiver. 5-star frosh Davonte Neal will be in the slot along with Roby Toma who put up good numbers in his few starts last year. RS FR Davaris Daniels had freakish combine numbers at ND this winter and a 38 inch vert. Finally, Theo Riddick will be splitting time in the slot and as the #2 RB and has put up solid numbers the last two years. The receivers are fine, the QB play has just been "eh" the last two years.

The QB situation is really not "terrible." Rees completed 65.%% of his passes and had 20 TDs with 14 INTs. Pretty average, but not terrible. He will most likely be the #2 or #3 QB this year, so expect those numbers to go up.

ND's true freshman QB was rated as an 86! You think? No, he wasn't. He is a 78. Pretty fair for a high 4 star/low 5 star. He also did qualify for the Elite 11 last year. He wasn't ranked in the top 11 at the end, but neither was Shane Morris this year (5-star going to Michigan). I'll trust recruiting rankings over a few days at camp.

ND is about two years away from going undefeated, not a few.

Re: Notre Dame

Yes, Notre Dame is an absolute powerhouse on this game. Hopefully life imitates art as an Irish fan. My first dynasty I did was with ND and it was too easy. They have an 86 dual threat RS Freshmen QB. Normal progression and you get 3 years of 90+ from him. They're all-around deep. Even now as I do my Dynasty with other teams, I consistently see ND in the top 5 every year and in the championship contenders they're top 3 for the next 4 years.

Re: Notre Dame

I love reading ND fans tell us how they're team isn't that bad.

They'll be terrible again this year.

Re: Notre Dame

Being an irish fan since the days of Tim Brown being a man among boys and Jerome Bettis going ape **** on Florida in that sugar bowl , I will say this....ND is far from pathetic but, they have been very dissapointing for the past 15 years or so (save 05 and 06) I mean, they have a top 5 recruiting class every year but they can't translate that into wins.....oh, and putting a green clover on the helemt may not help much.....ND needs to start playing football, plain and simple......
