Notre Dame Overrated

Too bad the playoff's didn't go in affect this season so the very weak Notre Dame team could have been put out quickly and we wouldn't have had to watch that terrible NC game. Too bad ND didn't lose to Pitt as they should have (College refs suck) so we could have had a much better Oregon vs Bama matchup

Notre Dame is overrated!! I've said this all year. I'm talking real life here.

1.) They didn't play any quality teams at all this year and still struggled in a lot of their games.

2.) Everybody made such a fuss over Manti Te'o while Jarvis Jones had better stats; especially when you consider the fact that he played in less games. Jones will be drafted higher and will have a more successful NFL career.

3.) Finally, look at the National Championship game. They got humiliated!!! They had no business being there, despite their record. Strength of schedule should be factored into who plays in the National Championship over win / loss record. Notre Dame is a perfect example of that!!!

4.) UGA would have destroyed them just like 'Bama did. A&M probably would have beat them. S. Carolina probably would have beat them. Oregon probably would have destroyed them. Ohio State (the only undefeated team this year) probably would have demolished them. Hell, even a team like Louisville probably would have beat them.

That game was painful to watch and I'm glad the season is over and they were put in their place. Maybe now everybody will move on and be more realistic next season....yeah....probably not, but it never hurts to hope.

To get back to the OP's point: in game, ND seems to be overrated - not just in the first year. I just finished the 2024 season (with highly modified conferences, using a modified Mr. Nation's setup) and I'm pretty sure ND has had 75% of the "Game of the Week" games throughout my dynasty. I know it's slightly superficial (I say slightly because it does affect your TV rating), but it's ridiculous that an undefeated Ohio Bobcats team plays a one-loss tOSU team one week, but a two-loss ND team plays a 4-6 Penn State team, and that's the GOW.

The funny thing is, I'm in year 2023 and year in and year out they have a top -0 recruiting class, but have had 4 or less wins the past 6 seasons now
