How many minutes do you guys play?

9 minute quarters, play once a week. Keeps the game fresh, exciting and I look forward to it every Friday night. I play The Show almost every day...but Friday nights is football night. Once Madden 13 drops same deal.

I play on 9 minute quarters now, slow spd. I have almost always played on 8 min qtrs over the years, but I just wasn't getting enough off ypg on 8, and also the cpu wasn't getting enough yards either. I moved to 9 minute quarters about 6 games ago and now I'm getting the stats totals I was looking for (~400 off ypg).

I rarely pay attention to the forum since the game came out (finishing 162 games on The Show and starting my NCAA dynasty) but somehow I too found 8 minute quarters to be the sweet spot. I might consider uping it to 9 minutes as I created a slider set that made the CPU match my ability when the talents line up on our teams. The CPU doesn't nearly play with as much dead time as it did previously.

9 minutes, could probably go up to 10, as I'm usually a little short in the total number of plays per game in comparison to typical NCAA totals, but that would take my game time past the 90 minute mark which is a bit too much.

I just started playing NCAA 13 and right now am using 6 minute quarters. It's fine for now as I tweak my sliders but I will be going to 7 or 8 minute quarters since with 6 min quarters not enough plays are being run and the yardage and scores are pretty low.

i play 5 minutes. i'm not having any problems with it so why switch it up ya know.

11 minutes/Slow speed/15 threshold


The way I have my stamina ratings set up, it allows teams to utilize their 2 deep. I also believe someone said that for realism sake there should be between 150-160 plays per game. It works for me.
