CPU Going on 4th Down

Does anyone else notice the CPU going for it on 4th within FG range far too often? It seems if the CPU is trailing they always go for it on 4th when they could easily kick a FG. I'm not talking down by 28 in the 4th either.

I think its becuase they must have a horrible kicker and they know they will miss it if they try a field goal

That could be the case as I am in year 4 of my offline dynasty. But it seems every team has this problem.

I think this happens because the coaches play calling style is set to aggressive in the coaching philosophy menu

Are you on varsity or possibly All American? On lower skill levels the CPU won't attempt deep FGS while on Heisman they'll attempt FGs that are literally impossible to make.

I am on AA. But I have been on AA from season 1 and it was not a problem with the original rosters. If they had the option of taking a 35 yard FG on 4th and 4 they would kick. Now the CPU would go for it on 4th.
