AI awareness slider instead of difficulty sliders

I don't know why EA and company have never made an AI slider to make the CPU smarter instead of just making the game harder from jr. Varsity to heisman just to make it more difficult by making player teams worse. Why if I have a running back rated a 96 or above should he be tackled by a crappy corner just because I have to play on heisman because the computer plays like an idiot if not on heisman? This should have been addressed years ago to make the CPU smarter even on varsity where both sides are fair with no handicaps.
