mass subs

When I get ahead by enough points I like to do a mass sub but I just noticed that my backup QB is playing in dime formations when that happens. Is there an easy way to just look at what players play in each formation when you do mass subs?

When I go through my formation subs I only see my starters. Thanks.

I play my backups in blowout or near blowout situations more than anyone else, but I never use mass subs. What mass subs does is bench your starters while playing the rest of your depth chart. IE, for CB, there's 5 guys in the depth chart. Your 2 starters don't play in mass subs which means that in dime situations (4 CBs) they run out of guys on the depth chart so the CPU just grabs someone else (in your case, your QB, whom I'd guess was an ATH with cover skills). The same happens with WRs if you go 5 wide (which you probably won't in a blowout).

Another problem with mass subs is that you can't use package subs for backup RBs (since your backup is now the "#1" guy) or "D-Line sub". I like to share carries so I use the "HB sub" package sub a lot.

What I do in blowouts is to completely redo my depth chart so that my scrubs are now my "starters." This way my backups still play, but if I need to go with dime, I'll have 4 CBs (with the 4th guy being my 2nd best CB if I only have 5 non-RSing CBs on my team). I can also have HB#4 as my starter and use the "HB sub" package sub to give my HB#3 some carries too.
