GameStop Not Doing Midnight Release

I got a text too saying they'd have it at 8:00am on Tuesday. Maybe this has been said before, but they do a midnight release for games at Gamestops that took in at least a set number of preorders. If that number isn't reached, they don't do it.

As far as getting a text, if you preorder and give your cell phone, you can have them text you when release will be. I used to get the automated call from Ashley or Iris, but now they text me.

If you are at a location where they are expecting a lot of people, they want everyone to make sure they have the game paid off before so it is faster.

My local GameStop in Saraland, Alabama is doing midnight release. I went in earlier today and asked for a pre-order and if there would be a midnight release, to which the cashier said there would be.

Only time I've ever had a midnight release for NCAA was when it came out the same day as some huge RPG for forgot which one, otherwise they don't get enough preorders to justify it where I live

True, you can have a game latch on to another's huge midnight release and they'll let you get the less hyped game at midnight since they're open for the other game. I had that once with Tiger Woods PGA Tour which would normally not have a midnight release.

yeah i think they have to have like 100 preorders to justify midnight release

Might have been posted somewhere here already but my gamestop is having a midnight opening and the website didnt say they were having one. I would think they are having a midnight opening because this is one of the few triple A titles coming out in the summer
