The only regression maybe is that the bugs still are there every year and it's frustrating. I had that gamebreaking bug last night where I intercepted the ball in the endzone and they gave the other team a touchdown. UGH. Mind you, it's not often, but that stuff, I really again blame E.A., not the devs. The games are just not finished yet. They need more time. For gameplay, I think the game plays very well and seems more polished in most instances. The option feels really good and the players no longer are skating on ice. The infinity engine feels really good. My only major downers are those glitches, my custom soundtracks cut in and out constantly and the crowd/atmosphere/reaction continues to be average to poor. More life on sidelines and things like that, will make it more awesome next gen. Hopefully. It's a good game, probably the best NCAA game yet as long as the glaring problems are patched soon. And defense isn't as bad as this guy is stressing. I intercepted 2 passes last game on AA. I suggest everyone do the Nike Skills trainer.

Throwing $60 away is not the end of the world for me...I do ok.

And being playable with friends and being great are two distinctly different things.

Frankly I think the new engine is at least thus far a regression. Last years ncaa had the smoothest animations ever, while madden with its infinity engine had the worst. I too feel in many ways I have less control this year. Take lead passing, in madden with the db' s draped over your receivers on every play you could at least complete passes throwing to the opposite side of the db. Lead passing in this game moves the ball about 3 pixels on the screen.

UT in this game is unplayable for me and dynasty at best is a tad weaker than last year imho. Pretty disappointed with this game it has fallen behind madden again and its been a long time since I felt that way.

I think it all comes down to the fact that ratings mean little to nothing. If players played according to what their ratings were, we could have a great game on our hands.

Don't get me wrong, I have the game and I am enjoying it. But there is so much left to be desired that we had 8 years ago. That in itself describes regression to me. Don't get me started on all the off the field stuff that can't seem to get correct either.

Hit me up (Xbox GT: BrockOchoGOAT) and we will play. If you ever stop me from scoring a TD on any possesion, just one, I will personally come on this site and say how amazing your Quarters Defense is. This is a ridiculous claim, and would never work against any of the top 500 players online, much less against the top 100 (and I'm not talking about the glitchers in the top 100).

I agree only in a small part though. Defensive PASSING control has been virtually eliminated. There's supposed to be a "ball hawk" feature like in Madden but it works nothing like it. I haven't been able to deflect a pass yet with L1 and have yet to successfully time a jump with triangle. It just doesn't work. It's laggy and unresponsive. In 2012 you could easily trigger a deflection using the same buttons. In my opinion it's completely busted but only on defensive passing control. It might also be why the CPU controlled players rarely go for a deflection. It's like the animation trigger is broken or something. You just don't see it like you did in 2012.

I am a ps3 guy now. Would love to play though.

Being really good at a "game" doesn't inherently make that game good either.

Back when online gaming debuted Madden 2002-2004 I was always in the top 200 on Ps2, you can exploit the engine all day on defense. But as you get older that gets less fun...and you want the x's and o's/matchups to matter.
