Re: Creating Breakout and Immediate Impact Players

It sounds like a good plan, I may do something similar.

I love the idea - if you happened to select a 5-7 or worse team that gets a JUCO guy coming in who is amazing it can make the game awesome. Great idea.

I do this. I also edit certain players across the nation to have a little boost to ensure that they start over players that they should be starting over.

I play my dynasties different than most though so there is no conflict of interest. I don't have "one" team. I play any of the matchups in a given week that I wanna play. Much more fun to experience playing as Fresno State one week and Clemson the next.

With the excessive in-season progression this year, and the always high offseason training.. Do you really need to be adding MORE attributes to players? That's my only problem with this idea.

I understand what you're saying. However, those don't help create breakout players though. Those just help starters continue getting better (except for the offseason training obviously). I'm doing this so maybe a 3rd string LT becomes a starter the next year, out of nowhere, like what happens sometimes in real life. Or a RB who wasn't that great last year will have a great year the next year. Only 5 and possibly up to 10, of the guys are on good teams anyway. Like I said, I understand what you're saying, but I don't think it'll be a huge deal. Only time will tell.

I might have to do that too.

Nice to see the positive input from everybody. I tried it for the first time earlier so we'll see how this season turns out.
