Best PS2 year?

Offense was already easy enough anyway, and if you had an accurate QB and good receivers, it really wasn't a problem. 2008 was pretty much everything great about 2005, plus new stuff, plus better, cleaner graphics.

Yeah 05 was underrated as it was stuck between 04 and 06. It is a tad more defensive-oriented, nowhere near as fast as 06. The drop were somewhat of an issue but I play on PS2.


My biggest issue with 05 was in dynasty where several non-power 5 schools would routinely get top 25 recruiting classes every year, seems a bit far-fetched.


Lastly, it was at tad too easy for me as once you figure out which routes work against certain coverages, you can absolutely obliterate teams through the air. 06 prepared me for that.

I'm with you here, I had 05 playing amazing with sliders which pretty much nullified the drops issue it had. Probably had the most fun with 06, despite the easiness of deep balls.

Yeah and the only reason I don't complain about deep balls is because the AI is just as deadly with them as I am. If I was completing 100% of them I would complain, but it is more like 60/40.


On top of that, deep balls are such a regularity in today's games.

Yes, seems to be ps2 only. They're legit though, I paid him $20 and he sent me a memory card with 03, 04, 06, and 07 rosters. I can't stop playing 06 currently.

Deep ball is easy but I'm getting tons of drops in 06. Frustrating.

I agree with this. Although it could be because I love Madden '05 and NCAA '05 allows me to upload draft classes.

My biggest disappointment with '05 is the inability to make custom conferences, so I can't move teams into their respective 2017 conferences.
