Solution to dropped passes (credit to direck76 @ maddenmania.com)

I have tried this and it works. It has considerbly decreased the amount of dropped ball for me and alot of people over there at MM.

My team dropped most of the passes thrown until I realized that if you press the (Y) button (triangle on PS2)on the XBOX controller even though you are not in control of the player he will catch the ball a lot more than he did before. I test this in practice using several different plays. I threw ten passes without pressing the (Y) button (triangle on PS2) at the time of the catch my receiver caught 3 passes. Using the same play I threw ten more times pressing the (Y) (triangle on PS2) button each time and the receiver caught 7 of 10 passes thown to him. Try this out and it may keep you from giving up on a great game. Now crazy tips I can't help ya there. Hope this helps others it seems to work for me.

Thats right guys you just have to press the button. You don't even have to take controll of the WR. Try it and post your results here please.

Edit: Some people are also saying it work with DB's also.

If that's the case it's a huge find, at least for me.

Press it just as the ball gets there. Just like if you were controlling the WR except you don't have to swith to him. I hope this makes sense, just give it a try.

I don't have the game but isn't there a catching slider or something that you could turn up? I know there is one in madden.

Interesting...

I will check this out after the ESPYs.. If it works, it's a nice find, no doubt.

Thanks for the info. I thought you *had* to take control of the receiver and this is sometimes hard to do.
