Re: Serial numbers on the back on the disc (slowdown related)

geez, serial numbers on the discs now?? the are no defective discs out there, its how the game was made. deal with it, and dropped balls happen too often?? once in a great while i'll horrible games, but my best passing games are online. last game i had 7 interceptions and an 8th called back, i seem to be user catching picks better than some can catch regular passes. who knows...
the game was made with slowdown, some xboxes and tv setups obviously make a difference in the way its presented to its user. i wouldnt trade this game in for anything.

I already stated what the problem was its the MCPX chip (Southbridge) that combined with the different
encoders on the boxes go here and get you a MCPX Heatsink or make one!

Older Xboxes dont experience this but newer ones do

Heres a Picture of the Nvidia Southbridge:
MCPX

Heres the Heatsink Note you can also make your own just apply some arctic silver:
Heatsink For MCPX

Heres a image of the exact placement of the MCPX aka Southbridge:
Placement of MCPX

In order for Microsoft to sell Xboxes cheaper they had to Cut Costs and Hardware for the newer xboxes such as No Fan on the GPU which in turn puts more stress on the mcpx!

The MCPX gets so hot you can boil on egg on it hence the slowdown with newer xboxes!

hope this helps! I effectiveley cooled my MCPX by 50 degrees using this method Ive cooled it to a steady 97 degrees all the time! and got rid of the slowdown

Yep Just apply some thermal Paste (Arctic Silver 5)

You can get any small 1 inch by 1 inch heatsinks at any computer store!
or cut a bigger one with a dremel.

Or yes you can buy that one there pre cut (the one there comes with a Pad so no need for any paste)
