(uniforms, gloves, helmets, etc.) plus as a download it would be an easy way to test waters for demand and would be a "safe" way to release the game.
That why I'm optimistic about NCAA football and basketball returning. There's a market and money to be made. Especially with football. Seeing 2K and now Madden flirt with the colleges again has given me hope that we'll see full fledged games again in the near future.

As I wrote in another thread, I was a big dynasty guy, so after season #1, I was recruiting fictional players and had no problem with that. The game must have real schools and conferences though.

Having the playoffs would make it even more enjoyable for me now.

I always felt like NCAA was the better game compared to Madden. I feel that way because NCAA succeeded in what Madden has not, which is atmosphere. NCAA did a good job of focusing on fight songs/chants, home-field advantage, traditions(like Clemson Rock, Bevo, LSU Tiger, etc), Studio Updates. I felt NCAA had a easier path than Madden because they shared tech(even though Madden obviously got first dibs). So NCAA devs could focus on the game itself.

If NCAA could have continued into this generation, it would have been one of top sports games if it followed its path. It laid a good foundation, it could have continued. Recruiting and Coach Carousel made Dynasty fun. I liked Road To Glory. They could just expanded on what they done so far. Just had to add more depth features. Maybe add a Create-a-Playbook, Scheme-type players and teams recruiting to their playstyle, more presentation-type features added,

Heck, if the Remaster NCAA 14 with Frostbite engine and current gameplay, I would buy it over Madden with no second thought. But with NCAA issue seemingly not close to being resolved, it will be a while before we see a NCAA game again

Love NCAA 14, but there are so many things they would have added by now.

-RPOs

-Grad transfers

-Medical retirements

-Recruiting years ahead

-More specialized defensive playbooks

-Create a uniform

-Spread punt, rugby punt

Wow so many emotions going on after reading that post Steve. NCAA has always been and will always be my favorite sports franchise. Like many others have said it was the only game I bought year after year and I couldn't get enough of it. It's sad to think about how good the series would be with today's graphics and the direction they were going. NCAA 14 is definitely my favorite version of the franchise and I do believe that they were on track of making a fantastic game on the next gen of consoles. Man I really wish that one day they could release a DLC for 14 with the playoffs included and updated uniforms and stadiums. One can wish.

If I were EA I would sign up just the NCAA license. Beyond that I would make everything else generic but with a comprehensive system to Edit & Transfer Teams/Logos/Uniforms/Rosters. Trust me, in no time at all we will have an authentic Collegiate Football game in no time at all. The fan base for this franchise will ensure that.

Real schools, conferences and the NCAA are a must for me. I think it's about having the rosters constructed in such a way that absolves the publisher, NCAA, conferences and schools of any likeness claims. Sadly, I think it means the end of editing and roster sharing. Which I'm fine with at this point. Look at 2k and the your college teamates on the respective teams. There is no way any current or former player could make a likeness claim. They could, I guess, because you could sue for anything but it'd get thrown out instantly. I think that's the model to follow. College to me has always been more about the schools and pageantry while the pro game is player driven.

I was going to go Xbox1 when I was looking at consoles. I have had bad luck, but I wanted to be able to play NCAA. Once I found out it wasn't backward compatible, I went to PS4.

But like I said, if this game came out console exclusive, I would buy whatever console it came out for.
