Can anyone help with the damn "error this is not a DB or MC02 file" message for ps3?

You can export the csv file, make your edits, and then import the file.

I discovered that once the player file grows and reaches a certain size, the editor will no longer display it. The data is still there; you'll just need to export/import the file.

Got it working. When the "Cheat Repository " window pops up, I clicked on the Download button and it downloaded the cheats. I also set up my profile under the same name as it is on my PS3. I do NOT add the MC02 at the end. Works ike a charm. I guess downloading the cheats from the little window is necessary, at least once.

Had this same issue: Files would decrypt but would NOT open in DB editor.


I ended up installing on a different machine AFTER I disabled anti-virus. This was an isolated VM, so I'm not too worried about infection, and I rolled back to a snapshot after I got my decrypted files.



I don't know if it was another machine or disabling AV that did the trick. I ended up using Bruteforce 3.6 also.
