This somewhat ties into recruiting and somewhat doesn't.

But in past games, during the offseason they would have the Player Departures screen and it would just say "Draft" or "Transfer".

In the new game, I want to know where my players are going on that screen.

If my senior running back gets drafted, tell me he was the 7th pick in the 2nd round to the Eagles. If my backup LB transfers, tell me what school he went to.

Including draft info could tie in to "Pro Potential" for recruiting (you could tell that high school running back that you just had a RB picked in the 2nd round). That plus transfer destinations would be a nice way to follow your favorite players deep into dynasties. Let me check that LB's stats a couple years down the road and see how it turned out for him.

That's a good idea. I heard Saban has a hallway with the pictures of all the players who have gone to the NFL and what their salary is. It would be realistic to have what you suggest in the game.

I don't know how accurate the salary part is, but I'm pretty sure every school honors their NFL players.

I can't find any good pictures, but LSU had a wall with their alumni's helmets, and at one point had a section for their 1st Round picks.

If we get a version of teambuilder I intend to create my own team and it would be fun to start from scratch and get all the trophies and NFL picks.

I'm curious what they will do with the biggest game changer in college sports which is NIL. With state legislatures creating their own laws it would be impossible to replicate reality but I'm guessing they will put some version of it in the game.

Another thing I thought of is I hope pipelines work similar to how they worked in the old games. However if you bring in a coach from another region that you don’t normally scout then maybe you get a small pipeline boost for that state/ region for a year or two.

Also I would divide the large recruiting states of Texas, California and Florida into 2-4 regions just because of the size and quantity of recruits in those areas. A player from El Paso, Texas would be 10 hour car ride from home if he attended the University of Houston and that’s in the same state!

Finally can we split Canada up into provinces and add a few more cities. I would also like a few more countries to recruit in such as Mexico, The U.K, Germany, Australia and American Samoa.

Re: What do you want from recruiting in the upcoming game?

I have three short thoughts. For this exercise, I am assuming NCAA 14 dynasty is the baseline for functionality and feature set.

1 - I would like to see the transfer portal represented in the game in a more meaningful capacity than "NCAA 14 transfer system but increase the frequency of transfers". The transfer portal is now basically a second recruiting window, it should be represented in the game with that elevated level of importance.

2 - I would like to see Tiburon represent the impact of NIL on college football recruiting in a meaningful way. I admit I have literally zero idea what this looks like in the form of a video game, but a college football dynasty mode without any presence of NIL in 2023 would be a spurious representation of how college football team rosters are assembled. Since the NCAA is not involved with the game at all, maybe Tiburon has a chance to exercise some more creative freedom here.

3 - I would like the game designers on EA Sports College Football dynasty mode to stay the hell away from whoever signed off on the final design for the updated Madden 22 scouting system. I am concerned that the scouting system in that game is a better fit for a college football game than a pro football game, and that system regardless of target environment is incredibly bad, so much that it singlehandedly extinguished my interest in playing Madden 22. I don't want anything to do with it in any upcoming EA Sports football game.

If they didn't want to use currency, maybe give an allotment of recruiting budget points. Give each team a certain amount based on prestige specifically for NIL or whatever they would call it. Implement it so that players have a minimum points price based on whatever formula they want to come up with; and just like with recruiting, give the player the ability to turn you down.

The problem is the NCAA is being overrun by state legislatures. Schools aren't supposed to be directly involved in giving athletes NIL money but they have oversight to ensure the athletes are in compliance. The whole thing is a big mess.

EA might just have to make up their own rules but I suspect NIL will be in the game in some form. I don't like it because it turns college sports into semi-pro but it's reality and is here to stay.
