Testing two things to see which I like better. Current Varsity set is playing great and nothing needs to change, this is just for gameplay feel.

Pass block 55
Run block 50
Tackle 40

or

Pass block 60
Run block 55
Tackle 45

Probably opt for more run block as the run game can suffer sometimes too much where the AI won't run at all even in close games.

In my double dynasty, the cpu runs 20 to 30x a game. They run plenty. Against OSU, they have a hard time but still run plenty. Against Florida cpu runs all over them. The play calling is fantastic in this game.

If anything, I thought about opening passing more, but I am pretty content where its at.

To be fair those schools have playbooks that actively feature a healthy amount of run play calls lol. Some playbooks are a little more goofy but I swear sometimes a coach will just not call a run play for 2 quarters lmao. I just restart the game if that happens and usually corrects itself. But I'm satisfied with the sliders on the front page myself so no complaints.



If anything just mildly amusing that teams that are ACTUALLY good are consistently winning now when I watch them.

Thats interesting. I really havent noticed a run issue. I wonder, is it a confrence or low star teams that arent running and I just havent been in that area so to say. I know I have seen a few comments about Army I think it was, that dont run much.

I think its more playbook / Madden legacy code where if the team can't find success early with the run it will abandon it quickly until it takes the lead. The more I've run with these sliders the less issue I've seen of it. Some teams do struggle to get a good run game going but I think that's more talent than slider. So these have been great.


I've been testing playbooks to see what gives as close to 50/50 play calling and balancing out carries for RBs. I think I need to jump back to a new dynasty. I think if you recruit based around what your team already has based on archetypes playbooks should play better I think? Outside of generational athletes of course.
