AZYankees Really Old Guy Varsity Sliders

Okay, so we have WWF's old man sliders for the 50+ crowd, so here are mine for the 60+ crowd, but we are not checking ID's, so if you are younger you can use them too

I did these back in the day and was really excited to get to work on something after finally getting NCAA back. I coached HS Football from 1987-2022, so my main focus was getting a set of sliders that looks natural from that perspective, coverage drops, line play, pass rush, etc.

I was worried that the new patch would wreck these but outside of needing to turn down interceptions, everything held up and the improvement in pursuit angles and LBer play helped a ton. So without further adieu, here we go.

House rule - I do not control any players on defense, I scheme by down and distance and game situation. I allow myself to audible when the CPU goes into hurry up, but outside of that the only adjustments I allow myself to make are:
1-Coverage shells
2-Press/play soft
3-Shift the line

I do not guess plays, except in the last 2 minutes of a half/game, where I will guess pass if the situation warrants it for a bit more realism. I will also adjust zone depths in the playbook menu at halftime if the CPU is exploiting certain areas of the field, such as in between the flats and outside deep thirds. Also use the sticks adjustment to drop zone depths in 3rd down passing situations, makes the back end stronger.

Finally, make sure you adjust the adaptive AI under your coach profile to aggressive.

Re: AZYankees Really Old Guy Varsity Sliders

Dropped Interception to 30 from 35, this seemed to be the one thing the patch really altered, everything else playing well. Will restart my 'real' dynasty and post results.

Re: AZYankees Really Old Guy Varsity Sliders

Really awesome sliders, thanks for these. I played the first half on play now as Ohio State, in the horseshoe, in the snow, vs Michigan. Both teams struggled to run, as you'd expect with 2 great d lines. I need to work on my coverage game a bit, but I was up 21-14 at the half. Overall, I liked the defensive feel to these. Going to try on dynasty, to see the difference when I play Akron, to when I play Michigan State.

Also, you said you use adaptive passing. Is that Revamped?

Re: AZYankees Really Old Guy Varsity Sliders

Game 2 - BYU 35 SMU 31
This was a back and forth battle, fun game to play and there was a total of 21 points scored in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter. I thought I would need to hit a long field goal to tie, but a coverage bust left my halfback open down the seam for the game winner with 5 seconds left. Fun game and the key we cutting turnovers down and also managing to avoid being sacked through scrambles, or getting an errant pass away last second. .
First downs
BYU: 28
SMU: 19

Total Yards
BYU: 439
SMU: 396

Rushing
BYU: 131 YPC 4.7
SMU: 87 YPC 4.3

Passing
BYU: 28-36-308 yards 3 TD 1 Int
SMU: 20-30-309 yards 2 TD 1 Int

Sacks
BYU: 2
SMU: 0

Penalties
BYU: 3-20
SMU: 1-10
