Ok, perhaps I have a bit of a renewed interest in this game. I just played the 4th game of my season using jistic's AA sliders. I was FAU going into the Dome to play Minnesota. They jumped up 17-0 early and eventually won 24-16. I really only threatened to take the lead once, despite the fact that Minn. fumbled twice and allowed me to run a kick back (my only TD). I played flawless on offense, protecting the ball and completing short and intermediate routes. I didnt run the ball very well, however Minn. ran rougshod on me to the tune of 300 yards.

The amazing thing is I found it much more difficult to move the ball with the AA sliders than default Heisman. It seems my main gripe, the basketball on grass offense, was toned down dramatically. I finally get to play a conference game next, so maybe I can see where I match up to similarly-talented teams.

If you want to get frustrated, become used to a very talented defense, then switch to Florida Atlantic. I played every game with Auburn, whose starting 11 on defense averages out to about a 90. FAU's starting 11 averages out to about a 75.

The last game was the best I have played so far, and in reality Minnesota should have won about 31-9, I just had some very fortunate breaks. That seems about right I suppose, I dont really know who good FAU is supposed to be. I will give it a few more games, but I am definitely upgrading my take on NCAA 06 and I see it's stock starting to rise in my eyes.

No, but I think you can tweak the sliders enough to not make it a money play or play with a team with an avg offense.

Generally speaking, if you play with a team that sucks and then get pounded game after game, you probably aren't going to enjoy it.

Most people that play video games probably set the difficulty to where they win 75% of the time. If they only win 50% of the time they are pissed. FAU seems like a waste of time against the big boys (just like reality).

I was blown out in my UCONN dynasty playing G tech but I rebounded well against Army.

This is where I think the lack of another game is really going to hurt. I haven't played NCAA for about 3-4 years since I was so addicted to the NFL 2K series, and now that I am back, I really enjoy this game again.

I started out as a Madden/NCAA player for years, then I switched to Gameday for a few years, then back to Madden/NCAA, then to NFL 2k, and now back to Madden/NCAA.

With no true competition for EA, guys like the original poster have probably become too good at EA Football. Therefore, every game they play is no longer a challenge. I think the fact that I switched every few years kept the games fresh for me.

Hopefully I won't be bored to death with EA football in a few years, since they are the only ones in town.

Even on default, the game is just a blast. Things change of course if you're using USC to beat up on San Diego state....

No challenge there.

this is true. when I have played Dynasty Mode in years past, I have always chosen a team that wasnt very good but never as bad as FAU. I have played as San Diego State and Houston, and I believe a little Florida school that was IAA at the time. I went 6-5 or 7-5 consistently with SDSU, but I did rather well with Houston, winning the CUSA title after a few years. FAU just has absolutely nothing to work with though. However, I am going to tough it out and see what happens. At this rate though I will never get another job offer and Im not sure I am going to enjoy what I got myself into with FAU. I wish there was a way to buy recruits because that seems to be the only hope I have of ever getting players.
