All-American with realistic sliders.

You are probably better than 95% of the people playing the game because default Heisman in 2006 was unbeatable for me.

I will start out on default AA with a rivalry match. Not sure who but when you go to quick play in 2006, the CPU often chose a good rivalry match and I might take whoever pops up. I don't like to start a dynasty right away until I get accustomed to the gameplay AND have downloaded rosters. Once I get used to the gameplay, I will start playing with sliders as necessary but hopefully the default won't be so bad.

Personally, I think it would be great if they added a level between AA and Heisman since AA default was too easy and Heisman default incredibly hard. It was hard to tweak sliders to find a happy medium but I still loved the game.

will probably stick with the default level and adjust the sliders depending on how good or bad I am doing...I don't mind losing a game or two I just hate losing due to user error.

It's not so much that Heisman is hard, it's just unrealistic because they just amp up the CPU's ratings. If I hit Ted Ginn Jr. on a slant and he's got a much slower DB 3 or 4 yards behind him, Ginn is going to score in real life, but in the game because of Heisman's jacked up ratings Ginn will be dragged down after 10-15 yards. Unrealistic and it ruins the game for me. It's unfortunate EA can't come up with a much more realistic way of going up a level rather than just giving the CPU a big boost on it's player ratings.

Re: 1st Game? What level?

All American
I will dig up last years games sliders to start and go from there.

Texas v. USC. Both very good teams so should be evenly matched, plus it more fun, then I play some random Top 25 v. 1* and 2* teams and also 1* v. 1* to see how the sliders are working.

With the sliders and getting names that gets me up to the time Madden is released and the start of the football season.

Re: 1st Game? What level?

Just in the last month I started playing on Heisman and had my best game EVER on Heisman, winning 77-0 over #5 Texas (A team) in the Big XII Championship.

Anyway, I think I will be playing on AA first to get down the new kicking and such, then maybe switch up to heisman.
