I have officially found out why there is no pass rush.

On PS3 I can sometimes "shed" a block by hitting the "X" button or perform a spin using the square button. It doesn't work a whole lot but every once in awhile. You have to be "locked" up with oline to do it though. Default controller settings BTW.

And going off your last point, the CPU never gets called for holding. I've had plenty of holding calls on myself, but none on the CPU. But I do think the whole shedding the block thing is a huge problem in this game. This particular problem is a little more extreme versus the regular old suction blocking. Not only do you get sucked in, but you can't even get away when you do.

I've found only finesse moves work, the power ones get you shoved on yo ***!!!

Not only shedding blocks, but I have broken away from the block only to literally get sucked back in when I get close to the QB or RB. That ticks me off more than any thing b/c it happens way too much.

But that sets up the "Wide Open Gameplay" garbage

block shedding helps alot i think that it works out for me. i average about 4 sacks a game and that's good right?

There's no pass rush because of two things.

1. Insane amount of pancake blocks at the LOS. Every single play at least one, more likely two, of your D linemen will get chopblocked or pancaked immediately.

2. Robo QB. On Heisman, it's so ridiculous that if you blitz, Robo QB ALWAYS...I mean...ALWAYS makes some insane ridiculous throw that is completed for either a First down or a touchdown. Always.

This is just preliminary but I think I know what's behind the weather getting warmer then cooler then warmer again in regular cycles. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the earth tilting on it's axis. Will study further.

This has me worried. Unless the slider fix makes the sliders more effective, it doesnt look like Pass Rush was fixed at all. Obviously, have to wait till we try it out after patch (blah blah blah), but seems like it was left alone.......
