Well, considering that I am in charge of the commentary, I wouldn't say that I'm "just saying that." Commentary is built on the previous year's project. We remove bad lines, fix bugs, and add more lines. I don't see how it can get worse.

Do you have an example of how commentary was better on 07?

I will happily disagree and say that the commentary has gotten gradually better. The main issue that I have is that the announcers contradict themselves late in the game. Let's say there's 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. My opponent has the ball and they are down 13 points. On one play Corso is saying that they've got a chance...the next play he says that they don't.

Also, my main beef with narration has always been that there's not enough different quotes for the same situation. For example, whenever I get over 100 yards rushing in a game, I want to hear more time-specific commentary like, "Wow! It's only the first quarter and he has run over 'em, around 'em, on top of 'em, and" Then, we hear Kirk jump in and say something like, "Calm down, Scooter! We got a whole game left. Let's see if he continues this momentum."

I think that he would be awesome to get more time-specific quotes. Does that make sense?

Yeah, I know what you're talking about. We have a lot of those in there, and even though they are weighted higher than more bland lines, there is always a chance that a bland line will play instead of a more detailed line because both are valid and we can only play one.

I would like two things: better overall crowd reactions and have the commentators react more to big/key plays. The whole idea is that when I am playing a game it would be nice to feel like I am actually at the game in person.

^^^ Then you don't get TV style presentation which is what's killed presentation with Madden and NCAA. Remember, that at-the-game concept was tried with Madden and you seen how successful that was

I've noticed that, say my WR breaks the school record for caree, or even season catches. The next few games after that, teh first catch he gets in that game, they react as if he JUST broke the record again.

Is this a commentary bug, or are they actually onto something, since he's technically breaking his own record each catch he accumulates?

Re: OMT- What We Need is Improved Presentation

Can somebody explain to me how is it the commentary group(Brad, Lee, and Kirk) record lines every year but every year they say the thing? What do the only record two lines a year for real! I feel at this point there should be so much dialogue that you should go two or three games without hearing the same lines. What is this is like there 6 or 7 year(if not more)? And its not like they're using brand new lines every year. Its the same lines i've heard 4 years ago if there going just accumlate lines we should have a ton by now shouldnt we?
