NHL 09: I don't get it?

No we are not. Why do you think the development team of NHL 10 has focused on fixing or improving most of those things? If those things are in the game I would like you to show them because they don't exist.

NHL09 is a great game. It is fun to play against people and can be fun to play against the CPU. There is tons of replay value in BAP and EASHL. You can really have FUN playing it, because there are so many ways to play and enjoy it.

That said, there are tons of problems in it that hopefully will be fixed. It is far from a 100% representation of the NHL, but it's definitely moving in that direction and is much closer than a game like NCAA.

The arguement is apples and oranges. Madden and NCAA Football were solid great games on PS2/XBOX while NHL, FIFA, March Madness and NBA Live were total garbage. So when they switched over to the PS3/360 they were starting at different points. Obviously FIFA and NHL have made huge strides and have jumped to the front of the pack. NBA Live became a respectible game for the first time in a decade. NCAA Hoops is a work in progess. Madden and NCAA Football got off to horrifc starts this generation but they are finding there way. I honestly feel confident in both games this year.

But, atleast the players in NHL don't warp backwards to intercept the pass. The gamespeed is artificially sped up to make it wide-open? Let alone the complete negation of momentum.

i don't want to start any arguments but as an owner of both systems all i can tell you is that PS3 is a better system period!

Live was actually good on the PS2. It was trash on next gen, remains trash to this day, and may continue to be trash depending upon how much pride is taken in the product.

madden 10 doesn't really look that much different to me. yes they're some nice presentation additions, but from the last gameplay vids I saw it looks like more of the same especially in the trenches.
