If you're in a good online dynasty it's a minor annoyance and I just try and get the sack/get the win.

In an offline dynasty this would really inhibit the fun, no doubt.

In real life conservative coaches like calling screens or runs on 3rd and long to gain field position before the punt and reduce the risk of a turnover.

I know my DT's get a lot of sacks when the CPU runs screen passes. About 90% of the time it's going to be a sack. If it's not a sack it's going to be at least 10-20 yard gain for the CPU. I can't remember the last time I got a INT off a screen play.

it is very easy to stop a cpu screen play. if that is the only thing you need to stop just control a defensive end closest to the runningback and when you see it developing you just go by the runningback. they will either not throw or they will throw it and you can knock it down or intercept it.

I guess i need to rephrase the question, I was wondering if there were any adjustment you could make (playbooks or settngs perhaps?) to limit how many times the cpu run screen plays b/c they are largely ineffective.

Yeah. I think most people read the title as "Please tell me how to stop the CPU from gashing me repeatedly on screen plays" when the title really means "The CPU sucks a$$ at running screens and it makes the game too easy when they call a lot so how do I prevent them from calling so many and letting me win all the time."

From my experience, if I were to have written this thread, it would definitley be for the 2nd title.

run contain plays, spy, and control your LB or safety on the side the screens have been going. It is a pain when you get that OH SO CLOSE sack
