And besides, in the end, we're all going to buy the game, play it, enjoy it, and buy it again next year. Why complain? It's not going to ruin the game for you. You're not going to sit in the middle of a game and think, "Hey, wait a second, their helmets have a navy blue stripe instead of black." If it was something like the team has purple jerseys instead of green, that's one thing.

EA did mess up, though.

Anyone else think the player in the OP's photo looks just like 50 Cent?

Like the size of Florida State's logo on the field?

How about Houston's incorrect field art for the second straight year?

And for whoever was talking about 1,000 pieces of equipment ... sorry, but that's nothing for 6 months of work. Jut off the top of my head, if you did 5 uniforms a day (which would take you what, an hour to do tops?) that's 1,500 done in 6 months.

You're forgetting the fact that most of them have ALREADY been put into the game in past versions. They only have to update teams with new uniforms. They could do a uniform every other day and still have time to complete when doing just the new ones/ones that need edited.

When you're getting paid to do a job, you should be double and triple checking your work if you have pride in it.

You are far too dense. The bottom line is, there were three KNOWN major steps in the WVU PC Helmet integration.

1 - EA received a mock-up of the helmet from the school (or Nike, but most likely WVU)

2 - They created the virtual version of the helmet and uniform

3 - They gained the approval OF THE SCHOOL for it to be added to the game, as it was presented.

Also, it looks good anyway, lol

Not as ridiculous as you think. Florida wouldn't allow their white Pro Combat Helmet (And still wont) for whatever reason.

I think the reason being is that FSU's problem is more noticeable than WVU or any other school. Heck, I followed Arizona and never noticed their facemask was the wrong color. But more people will notice a mistake in field art for FSU than a slightly off color of a stripe on a helmet. No offense, but just saying.

You keep claiming they have to get permission from the school. Do you have any proof of this? Any source anywhere that says that?

Even so, I'll still stand by the claim that it's negligent on EA's part even if the school did approve it. A simple google search would show them all they needed to know.

I guess Arizona approved wrong uniforms three straight years? Far be it an expectation of EA to proofread their work themselves (I mean, they even have fans on these boards showing them their errors year after year, so they'd hardly have to do any work themselves).

But I see your point. Wouldn't want them to take any time away from such valuable features such as Season Showdown. :P

I disagree that it looks good, though. That particular Pro Combat has a lot of meaning to WV people because it represents the coal mining industry. The yellow on the black background represents the miner's light piercing through the blackness of the mine. Making it blue defaces that meaning.

Why would they do a google search if they received a mock up from the school and then had their product approved by the school? And these procedural manners have been said by Adam Thompson, the Art Director (I believe thats his position)

If they didn't get the schools approval it would be illegal I believe.
