Not true. It ties into poll logic and determining who goes to the BCS NC if the teams are close in rating. 1 loss SEC team would get a higher poll ranking than an undefeated Sun Belt team every time regardless of who the teams are. If they can make academic dynamic then there is no reason not to make conference prestige dynamic since it has a greater impact on the game

Actually since he is basing his grading mainly on last years performances I would say the SEC doesnt deserve the A+ more so then the B1G deserves an A+. Both should be an A. The SEC East was atrocious in comparison to its history of excellence. When South Carolina is your flagship going into the season and when speaking about everyone else in the division all you can really do is shrug your shoulders...its not an A+ organization.

On the other side of the boat, yeah you have Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Arkansas but that is four teams plus South Carolina out of twelve. That isn't even half. How is that deserving of an A+? If anything it is just more fuel in the fire over the anger for not having Dynamic Conference Prestige ratings because the SEC doesn't deserve an A+ this year if we are going by a year by year basis which most Dynamic Conference Prestige fans are wanting to go by.

The B1G may not have that team that matches up with the top of the SEC but it is a much better conference throughout the entire conference then the SEC currently is. A for both in my opinion.

Oh if we are going to go off of JUST last year than the Big Ten does not deserve an A. How does that work?

SEC ranked teams end of last year...6(way to leave off top 15 Miss State on your list of teams from last year genius), Big Ten...3. Of those top 6 in the SEC, 4 won their bowl games, of the Big 3 of the Big Ten...1 did, playing ineligible players(in everyone's eyes, except OSU and the NCAA apparently). The SEC also sent 10 teams to bowl games, the Big Ten(+1) sent 8. While I'll admit the SEC was pretty bad going 5-5 in bowl games(compared to usual), the Big Ten(+1) went just 3-5 in bowls, getting annihilated in several of those losses. The SEC went 3-1 against the Big Ten in bowls as well. The SEC also won the National Title last year(last 5 but you are only wanting to do this on a year by year thing).

And on the Big Ten being stronger from top to bottom? Oh please explain that. I just compared the bottom 3 schools from LAST YEAR in each and the standings and credentials disagree strongly with your opinion.

And just a sidenote...this is all in good fun. I love a good healthy debate to help pass the time until the game drops on the 12th

I wouldn't put it on the same level as the SEC, but Nebraska does improve the conference and there's just no other ranks. If there was an "A++" that could be given to the SEC when you bump the B1G to an A+, I would be all for it.

Nebraska definitely helps and if I was to rate someone on a 1A, 1B type of scale near the SEC I'd say the Big Ten is pretty much right there. Having a championship game and adding a legendary program like Nebraska definitely helps the prestige of the Big Ten.

They aren't quite on the SEC's level but going into the 2011 season you guys have great potential to have some really good teams, and that's with OSU probably not being as good due to Pryor and Tressel being gone.

Re: Conference Prestige ratings?

I don't even recruit anyway, so it makes no deal to me. But it is sorta disappointing that it isn't dynamic.

Has it been confirmed that the conference prestige wont change or are we just assuming this based off the silence from EA on the question?

As far as I know, it's all based on someone swapping teams and not seeing any changes, but it could happen after year 1. So maybe we'll get it in some form. Won't kill me in the end as I think my setups are satisfactory. Conference prestige isn't like the king of recruiting pitches. OU in the Sun Belt is still going to get recruits. Akron in the SEC won't suddenly start pulling in a top 10 recruiting class.
