Service Academies

Anybody have any house rules they apply to a service academy dynasty to make it a little bit more interesting?

Re: Service Academies

A bit lost at what you think could be done. What do you do? The possibilities with editing rosters have created more options i suppose, like wieght limits and whatnot. What do you have in mind?

EDIT: You mean playing as the service academy, correct?

Re: Service Academies

For starters, don't ever redshirt a player.

Yes I am playing as a service academy. What I'm asking is if anybody else plays as a service academy, do you have any house rules to give the Service Academies a more authentic feel to them.

As for not redshirting that was one I always make sure to do. 4 years and your gone.

Another rule I do is never go after Jucos. I know West Point does not except (academic) transfers. So I carried it to on the field recruits as well.

Seeing as no recruits come over 26 that is never an issue. I'm not sure if any come in at 17, but they also cannot be admitted to West Point (as far as I know. I'm only aware of the academic requirements so I dont know of the Athletic exceptions if any).

When I did my Navy and Army dynasties I only followed the no red shirting rule.

Here's an old thread discussing the same issue, might help you out.
