I've played every NCAA since 2002, and for the first time ever, I've seen a blocked extra point/field goal. I was absolutely shocked to see it. I captured the video below!

Blocked field goals and punts are a huge part of the college game, and I'd like to see it happen more than once every 10 years

hmm, see i used to be able to do it about 2 times a game back on the ps2 games...then when i switched to next gen, blocking anything was almost unheard of. Then last year, while playing one of my friends he found that the easiest way was to time the snap and rush from the outside. I still dont block mnay but i may get 1 or 2 evry 5 games or so, which is about right.

I guess I should mention that this was a CPU controlled player that did the block, I was a different USC player at the time. It was great to see, even if it looks a little odd with the Oregon player just backing up instead of blocking the USC player.

That looked terrible. WTF was the blocker doing?

It happened a very reasonable amount on 08. Once in about every 20 or so. It kind of sucked online because, while it only happened 1 in 15 or so (users were better at timing than the cpu) I had two games that were lost (more or less) by blocked extra points.

Same thing as the Chargers special team blockers did all season long in the NFL; Nothing.

I've started to figure out how to block FG/PAT's in '10. And its been driving my online dynasty partners crazy. Not every one, but I get about 5-6 a season. In fact, I blocked the first PAT I faced in the demo. Made me smile. Because it means havoc again in '12.
