If the feature returns, I just hope it works, and by "works" I mean produces logical results with no glitches or abnormalities. The draft class import in Madden NFL 12 produced some very weird results with regard to player appearance and also generally produced far more talented rookie classes than any in-game draft class. These two things in combination defeated the feature for me, and I have generally always used Madden's draft classes, whether they be generated or hand made.
I am also a programmer and while I understand it isn't something that is particularly easily done, it is something that IS easily done if you have the resources that EA does. With as much money as they make off of NCAA and Madden it is absolutely pathetic how they allocate those funds. I don't even want to know much money they punted on the Phil Simms and Jim Nance intros last year. Half of that money would've easily fixed all of the import draft class issues.

Money does not mean more time, or better prioritizing. They decided it was not an issue to make a new feature fit an old feature than it was to just go ahead with the new feature. That isn't a money issue, it is a priority and time issue. We disagree with the decision but somebody with the power decided against what we would have done.

this is what I have wondered for years now. Where the h-e-double hockey sticks is all the money going? its certainly not going back into the further development and improvement of these titles.

Graphics improvements, dynasty improvements, server maintenance, licensing costs, audio production for new commentary, new feature design and implementation, etc. etc. Basically, it is going to the components of the title which are used far more often than draft class export ever was.

Contrary to popular belief of a small but vocal minority, Tiburon is not releasing the exact same game year over year, they do add things to it, and they do address flaws from the previous version. To say otherwise is simply false and is agenda-based bashing of the game and series. The quality of those improvements is fair game for subjective debate, but Tiburon isn't resting on their laurels, nor can they afford to in this day and age.

Money does mean more time in terms of man hours. Another 50k = a year of a software engineer working on the game. Whoever decided that importing classes from NCAA wasn't a priority really doesn't know who plays the franchise feature well. I know I can't be the only one who didn't buy the game last year for that reason and that reason alone.
