I would say slow is the way to go and if you want to level up slower than slower would work as well.....

Analyzing the OPs results at least to me that Normal setting is more realistic based on his teams' results. If Brady Hoke were to take Michigan to 4 straight BCS Bowls, incluing 2 MNC titles, he would jump to the front of the pack as far as elite coaches go. I would like to see more results from less successful programs, but I think that one seems more realistic. The thing I don't like is that it seems like regardless of your results, you are going to get your biggest jump the 1st year.
Sorry to bring up an old thread but I agree with his assessment. If you look a Urban Meyer's coaching record. He is elite and has only been coaching for 14 years.

Re: NCAA 14 coach progression speed tests

Glad I found this old gem as I was looking to fire up a new franchise and wanted to know what to expect from each progression. Slow is by far the best option to me as it's more challenging and realistic. Urban Meyer is a very rare exception of a head coach that would/did max out his coaching tree in a expedited fashion but most head coaches need quite some time before reaching that milestone.
