Now that this series has been put on hold, let's just pretend EA had the time and ability to squeeze in some DLC for NCAA 14 before the license agreements ran out. Would you be down for some playoff DLC?

I just can't see this ever being a realistic option. Most simple patches break as many things as they fix. I don't think EA could program such a mode into the game, which is already poorly coded and a programming Frankenstein.

Besides, it could be done, even if crudely.

There should be an option for "Maybe, but it will never happen."

they aren't going to spend a lot of time backing and updating a game they will no longer make much money off of. The amount of money they'd make off of DLC updating facemasks or adding a playoff is minor when you consider the money it'd take to still pay those employees & allocate the time to do so when the franchise is dead now. So those who are holding their breath that EA will update some of the equipment they missed this year or add in the playoff next year or do anything other than the gameplay patches/ uniform store updates they'd normally do, don't get your hopes up too much.

Profit is profit, no mater how you look at it. We really don't know what they had in the works for next year, and how far along they were with that.

Quite obviously this is a hypothetical poll. Not sure why that is so hard to understand.

Are you sure you're not confusing "profit" for "revenue?" If it costs EA a lot more money to implement something like this than they would make from consumers (something on which I'd be willing to bet a large sum of money) then it's not profit. They'd lose money on something like that.
