Re: Playbook Sharing Thread

Happy to see everyone is really into the thread. I figured once the community started sharing it would get popular. It is so nice seeing all the creativity people put into their offense. I am thinking about maybe making a guide on the basics of creating an offense (choosing scheme, philosophy, even a starting school for a career). Pm me if you feel you have any input and I will see what I can put together

I'm thinking about doing a Baylor offense strategy and install guide in the next week or so.

I hope you still plan on doing this. I am very intrigued since I just moved close to Waco

Got distracted with some other things.

I've got the write-up for it done, I just need to finalize the playbook for it.

Re: Playbook Sharing Thread

I've enjoyed reading this thread (particularly Dr Death's novel on the R&S), but I gotta say, you guys are totally in love with the passing game! Lol I guess I was weaned on option/power football- I spent most of my life in the midwest and Ohio- so I saw a lot of Tommie Frazier/Scott Frost or Eddie George in the mid-90s until I ended up working for a small D-III school in Minnesota that ran the flexbone option offense.

I've been working on making a vintage Tom Osborne-era option playbook, but I haven't done the necessary homework to figure out what plays and formations I want to use- luckily, there are lots of 1990s Nebraska games on YouTube to watch and review for ideas.

As a starter, I'm going to flat out guarantee that my offense will start and end with the classic running formations- wishbone, flexbone, maryland I, and maybe some wing formations.

Has anyone else tried to make a vintage option playbook? There's nothing better to me than chewing up time, yards, and watching your opponent's will fade as the game goes on because they know they cannot stop you and you will not stop pounding them.
