Re: Advice from Air Raid Aficionados

The Air Raid playbooks in that game I liked Troy and Kentucky among others. UCLA's playbook while not listed as Air Raid, has lots of the concepts.

Air Raid Generic
BYU
Cal (Tony Franklin OC)
East Carolina
Houston
Indiana
Kentucky
Mid Tenn State
Oklahoma State
Old Dominion
Southern Miss
Texas A&M
Texas Tech
Troy
Washington State
West Virginia

Hoping someone is still active! I know the ECU book is Lincoln Riley, but what would replicate more of what Riley does now? He has more power formations with 2 backs or 2 TEs, but still runs core raid concepts with motion and play action mixed in.

Give Houston, MTSU and BYU a try

What do you guys do with the shallow series? With the route-mirroring it's almost broken in NCAA14, but I wanted to see if you guys had anyway of making it work against man coverage.

For me, the only thing a shallow drag is good for in man coverage is letting me know that they’re in man coverage. The tell sets up my timing for the deep in and/or deep post on those shallow series plays. There is one good play from Gun Spread Flex called Z shallow cross that you can torch man with the wheel route. But honestly, I mostly only use plays with shallows when there’s a corner or out route to compliment it, such as Mesh and Flanker Cross.

Yeah Jeremy, route-mirroring kills a lot of good route combos in the game. Including man beating concepts in real life. That definitely is annoying. The only route I can consistently get separation on is the digs and posts with the little inside stem on them at the beginning. Other than those and slants what beats the mirroring?

Re: Advice from Air Raid Aficionados

Out of curiosity are there any balanced air raid playbook where they have a good mix of run and pass plays? I don't mind pass the ball, but I also believe having a quality run game where the running back can take pressure off the qb.

Oklahoma state and WVU are more run oriented Air Raid books
