How To Create New TeamBuilders in NCAA Football 14
It's been about 2 years since TeamBuilder first went down. I've missed it quite a lot, and I'm disappointed that I didn't make more TeamBuilders. That being said, I've decided to make a quick little tutorial on how to make new TeamBuilders in 2020. This will be VERY BASIC so that even people with no modding experience can create new teams!
Note: This only works for Dynasty Mode. Materials: -XBOX 360/PS3/RCPS3 EMULATOR -FORMATTED USB FLASH DRIVE -NCAA FOOTBALL 14 -WINDOWS COMPUTER -SKULLETOR'S EA DB EDITOR (https://forums.operationsports.com/f...&postcount=235) For XBOX 360 ONLY: -HORIZON (Computer program https://wemod.com/horizon) For Mac users: This mod is only possible if you download some kind of windows machine onto your operating system. For some, this works, but it is generally very slow. Unfortunately most of these programs only work for Windows. Downloading TeamBuilders 1. On your main menu, click on Team Management. 2. Click on TeamBuilder. 3. Download any team whose logos appeal to you. This is important as you will choose between numbers on the helmet, this teambuilder's logos, and the EA logo. Setting Up Your Dynasty 1. Reschedule the conferences if you would like to reflect real life. Then, import a TeamBuilder in place of Idaho (since they are no longer in the FBS). Begin your dynasty. 2. Don't touch anything and get your file to your PC. How you do it will depend on whether you are on the PS3 or Xbox 360. Xbox 360:
Spoiler
1. Go to Dynasty Setup, and save your dynasty onto your flashdrive. Turn off your Xbox 360 console and plug your USB into your computer. 2. Open Horizon and on the right hand side of your screen, double click Games>NCAA Football 14>Your Dynasty. Click on the contents tab, and right click your dynasty. From there, select extract. Choose where to extract it. 3. Load up Skulletor's version of the EA DB Editor, and click File>Load Config. Select tucker06's uniform config if you have it installed. If not, use Xan's Dynasty Config. 4. Once that is loaded, click File>Open. Select your dynasty file from where you extracted it. This will take awhile. Once it is loaded, you are ready to edit! PS3:
Spoiler
1. Go to Dynasty Setup, and save your dynasty onto your flashdrive. Turn off your PS3 console and plug your USB into your computer. 2. Download the program called bruteforce save data which can be found here. Install the program. http://www.ps3hax.net/2013/04/releas...save-data-3-8/ 3. Save the roster or dynasty file that you want to edit on to a USB. 4. Open Bruteforce with your usb attached to your pc or laptop it will then ask for your profiled id of your console which then choose the file called Param.sfo. This file allows for the program to recognize your console unique ID. It will update this so now your should see next to profile a whole bunch of numbers and letters this is what you want to see. 5. Now select the path for savedata tab and select the location of where you put your save (it is easier just to leave the files your USB since your not moving files back and forth but it is up to you) 6. Now you should see your save appear under the name tab with all the other information of your file such as time created console id amongst other things. Now what you wanna do is click on the decrypt.pfd tab on the bottom toolbar. it will ask to decrypt all files and select yes now the bottom left corner should be green meaning that the file has been decrypted. 7. Now close out of Bruteforce, and go in to the folder/ the save (BLUS31159-ROSTER-**rostername**). Locate the file "USR-DATA" and right click>>rename. now add .MC02 to the end of that. 8. Load up the EA DB Editor and then click File>Load Config. Select tucker06's uniform config, or if you don't have it installed Xan's Dynasty Config. Then click File>Open and select your dynasty. Once it is loaded, you are ready to edit! Alright, once you've got the file in the EA DB Editor, there's a lot of tabs that you're going to edit. A complete list is beneath the spoiler:
Spoiler
Team Name Team Long Name Team Mascot Name Nickname Team Short Name Team Rival ID Team Academic Rating (Scale 1-6) Coach Loyalty (Scale 0-11) Program Stability (Scale 0-11) Tradition (Scale 0-11) Academics (Scale 0-11) Championships (Scale 0-11) TV Exposure (Scale 0-11) Facilities (Scale 0-11) Pro Potential (Scale 0-11) All Time Wins All Time Losses All Time Ties Stadium ID Team Logo (Set to 210) Roster Helmet (Will cover later under Logos) Stadium
Spoiler
Of course, a core feature of TeamBuilder was the stadium selecter. This remains the same, although with everything in this mod, it takes more time as you don't get to see the stadium. A (mostly) complete list of stadiums in the game:
Spoiler
Air Force Stadium Akron Stadium Alabama Stadium Arizona Stadium Arizona State Stadium Arkansas Stadium Arkansas State Stadium Army Stadium Auburn Stadium Ball State Stadium Baylor Stadium Boise State Stadium Boston College Stadium Bowling Green Stadium Buffalo Stadium BYU Stadium California Stadium Central Michigan Stadium Cincinnati Stadium Clemson Stadium Colorado Stadium Colorado State Stadium Connecticut Stadium Duke Stadium East Carolina Stadium Eastern Michigan Stadium Florida Stadium FAU Stadium FIU Stadium FSU Stadium Fresno State Stadium Georgia Stadium Georgia Tech Stadium Hawai’i Stadium Houston Stadium Idaho Stadium Illinois Stadium Indiana Stadium Iowa Stadium Iowa State Stadium Kansas Stadium Kansas State Stadium Kent State Stadium Kentucky Stadium Lousiana Tech Stadium Louisville Stadium LSU Stadium Marshall Stadium Maryland Stadium Memphis Stadium Miami Stadium Miami (OH) Stadium Michigan Stadium Michigan State Stadium MTSU Stadium Minnesota Stadium Mississippi State Stadium Missouri Stadium Navy Stadium NC State Stadium Nebraska Stadium Nevada Stadium New Mexico Stadium NMSU Stadium North Carolina Stadium North Texas Stadium Northern Illinois Stadium Northwestern Stadium Notre Dame Stadium Ohio Stadium Ohio State Stadium Oklahoma Stadium Oklahoma State Stadium Ole Miss Stadium Oregon Stadium Oregon State Stadium Penn State Stadium Pittsburgh Stadium Purdue Stadium Rice Stadium Rutgers Stadium San Diego State Stadium San Jose State Stadium SMU Stadium South Carolina Stadium Southern Miss Stadium Stanford Stadium Syracuse Stadium TCU Stadium Temple Stadium Tennessee Stadium Texas Stadium Texas A&M Stadium Texas Tech Stadium Toledo Stadium Troy Stadium Tulane Stadium Tulsa Stadium UAB Stadium UCF Stadium UCLA Stadium Louisiana Stadium ULM Stadium UNLV Stadium USC Stadium USF Stadium Utah Stadium Utah State Stadium UTEP Stadium Vanderbilt Stadium Virginia Stadium Virginia Tech Stadium Wake Forest Stadium Washington Stadium Washington State Stadium West Virginia Stadium Western Michigan Stadium Wisconsin Stadium Wyoming Stadium Western Kentucky Stadium Texas State Stadium Umass Stadium UTSA Stadium Georgia State Stadium Old Dominion Stadium South Alabama Stadium Alamo Bowl Fight Hunger Bowl PAC-12 Championship Citrus Bowl AT&T Cotton Bowl Fiesta Bowl Texas Bowl Gator Bowl Famous Idaho Potato Bowl Independence Bowl Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl Las Vegas Bowl Liberty Bowl Ford Field Camping World Bowl Ladd-Peebles Stadium Little Ceaser's Pizza Bowl (Lions Field) Music City Bowl Mercedes-Benz Superdome Amon G. Then, click Recalc Maps. The Stadium ID should have changed to reflect the stadium's new name. Go back to teams, find the TeamBuilder team, and scroll to the right until the tab where it says "Stadium ID". Change the data in this tab to be your edited stadium! Logos
Spoiler
If you don't want to keep your team's logos, then you have two options: 1) Use the EA Logo. Change the Team Logo and Roster Helmet to 210. 2) EXPERIMENTAL Use numbers on the side of the helmet. tucker06’s post explaining: JOSN = Helmet 1 #'s (0=off , 1=on) JTSN = Helmet 2 #'s (0=off , 1=on) This is in the Uniforms tab for Option 2. You may want to keep the logo the same or see how it looks with a 210 EA Logo. Team Colors
Spoiler
Use this link https://www.mathsisfun.com/hexadecim...al-colors.html to change the RGB values. Find your primary and secondary colors by adjusting the RGB values. Then, note the numbers for each of the RGB values. For example: Red: 88 = 58 Green: 163 = A3 Blue: 58 = 3A Put the first Red number value (88) into the tab TBCR. Repeat with the Green and Blue colors, except use the tabs TBCB for Blue and TBCG for Green. Then you want to do this again for the secondary color, except use the tab TB2B for Blue, TB2G for Green, and TB2R for Red. Uniforms
Spoiler
Ah, the main attraction. This is where this gets very complicated, very fast. Note: For a better explanation, go to this link: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...box-360-a.html 1. Go to the Uniforms tab. You will see the TeamBuilder's uniforms (two lines of it). 2. Change each tab to what you want it to be in Decimal values. If you see a tab populated by a 1 or a 0, it is usually turning something on or off. 3. A great help is tucker06's spreadsheet, which is Post# 218 on this link: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...post2050083416 4. To some extent you have to figure this out yourself. I can't explain it very well, but a quick read through the How To Mod Uniforms Thread should give you a better understanding as to what you're dealing with here. For the quick refresh or a less basic explanation:
Spoiler
1. Start a dynasty with an EXISTING COACH. Import a teambuilder with the correct logo that you want your team to use. If not, you will have to use the EA logo. 2. SWITCH YOUR DYNASTY TO YOUR COMPUTER. 3. Go to the Team Data tab and find your TeamBuilder team. Change it’s data (city, state, Rival, Name, etc). 4. Pick your stadium. Note: Some stadiums will make all games a neutral site. 5. Then we move on to logos. If you don’t want your current team’s logo, then you have 2 options: 1) Use the EA Logo. Change the Team Logo and Roster Helmet to 210. 2) EXPERIMENTAL Use numbers on the side of the helmet. tucker06’s post explaining: JOSN = Helmet 1 #'s (0=off , 1=on) JTSN = Helmet 2 #'s (0=off , 1=on) All of this is in Uniforms tab. 6. Then change the colors of the team. NOW TO EDIT UNIFORMS! Note: If you are making a TeamBuilder team, you will have no issues. But if you have no TeamBuilders in your dynasty, you will notice that this tab is blank. That’s because the game relies on pre-coded uniforms. However, there is a workaround that I will explain later. 1. Make sure you are using tucker06’s Uniforms config. It has everything named (except for a few things), and it makes modding uniforms a lot easier. 2. Go to the Uniforms tab. You will notice that your TeamBuilder team is already there. 3. Change the tabs to reflect what you want refer to tucker06’s spreadsheet to find what means what and what to mod. To insert new colors, go to the Math Is Fun link and drag your color to reflect what you want. Then copy and paste the decimal code. Another great tool is tucker06's Uniform config. The Uniform Config has (mostly) everything in the Uniforms tab renamed to what it means. It makes it SUPER easy to edit. Link: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...&postcount=281 This is just a start on where we are with a customization suite. Hopefully we can make this more in-depth and be able to fix logos. PM me if you have any trouble creating new schools, or post it in this thread. Don't forget to share your uniform combos with us as well. Happy editing! EDIT (8/14/20) I was looking through some old posts over on the 4 team playoff thread and I saw jello1717's post on how he added "TeamBuilder" teams after he had already created his dynasty. Since I started my dynasty without a TeamBuilder team and I am 4 years in, I don't want to restart the dynasty. So here's how to add "TeamBuilder" teams after you have already created your dynasty: UNIFORMS So obviously uniforms are hard coded onto the disc, but we can still swap uniforms in the editor. And that's really convenient because some FCS schools' uniforms look close to some real life teams. Although they are mainly just a white uniforms with a bit of green, blue, or red, it looks close enough. There's also sleeve colors which as tucker06 discovered are tied to team colors. So what you do is go to the Team Data tab and scroll over to the column titled "College Stadium". Now scroll down to an FCS teams' college stadium or any other team for that matter (I don't use this because there's too many logos). Copy their value and paste it in the "TeamBuilder" team's college stadium. TEAM DATA This is pretty much the exact same thing as above. Just edit to your liking with a school name, mascot, rival, etc. LOGOS There's two options here: 1) Use logos that are existing in the game. For example, use an FCS team's logo ID. 2) Set the logo ID to 210. This deletes the logo, COLORS (Also tied to sleeve colors) Same as regular process, here's how I explained it: Use this link https://www.mathsisfun.com/hexadecim...al-colors.html to change the RGB values. Now I will not lose interest in my dynasty because I can have TeamBuilder teams forever! lol EDIT (4/7/21) I've made instructions for RPCS3. It's an alternate method and not easy, but it's possible.
Spoiler
HOW TO CREATE CUSTOM TEAMS ON RPCS3 To preface this, I will say that this is not an easy process. You need a least a little experience with modding in game assets such as jerseys, helmets, pants, etc. You will also need College Football Revamped for this. You will need to join their discord, as linked right here: https://discord.gg/6ZgNttcR. This can also take a while to edit all of the team’s assets. MATERIALS: -A copy of the game, dumped to your computer -RPCS3 needs to be installed and running -College Football Revamped needs to be installed and running -NCAA AST Editor. It can be found in #tools in the discord -GIMP or Photoshop with a DDS Plugin -EA DB Editor. It can be either Xan’s Generic Editor or Skulletor’s updated editor. BASIC SETUP In this guide, I’m assuming that you are trying to get a dynasty up and running with a Teambuilder team. Obviously the method that I stated for people on console will not work on RPCS3 because you can’t connect to the internet from RPCS3. However, you can go a bit more in depth with the logo and uniform editing as well as the stadium. First, you need to select a team to replace. Once you’ve done that, start a dynasty with that team and set up the dynasty however you want to. EDITING Since we’ll be dealing with extracting textures from the game, I made a tutorial (more like a video of myself extracting textures and editing them) on the general process. That can be accessed with this link. If you learn better from a written out guide, the below steps are how to extract and edit AST files. Once you have the AST Editor downloaded, run it and click File>Open AST. Navigate to your RPCS3 folder, and then go through dev_hdd0\disc\BLUS31159-[NCAA Football 14]\PS3_GAME\USRDIR. Select qkl_fe2ig.ast and open it up. Then select Tools>Load Fe2Ig Descriptions. This loads the descriptions of most AST files and a few others. Since jerseys are the least complex and easiest to edit, let’s start with them. Scroll down to the team that you will replace and right click on one of their jerseys. Select extract. You’ll want to set up your folders in an NCAA modding folder. I like to set it up as three steps, but you can set it up any way you’d like. Since I use the three steps organization, I’ll be using that as an example. Extract it to part one and close the editor. Now you will need the jersey template. This can be found in #modding-resources in the Discord. Open it in GIMP or Photoshop and make your edits. It is beyond the scope of this guide to explain how to edit graphics. When done, export it as a DDS compressed as a DXT5 to your part two folder. Make sure you generate or use existing mipmaps. Open the AST Editor again and load the file in part 1. Replace the bottom most jersey with your edited jersey. Click file>save as and navigate to your part one folder. Copy the AST file and paste it into part 3. Save over the file in part 3. Close and reopen the AST Editor. If you haven’t already, make a backup of the qkl_fe2ig.ast file. Open that backup in the editor and right click replace the file that jersey that you extracted with the one in part 3. Click file>save as and save into this directory: rpcs3\dev_hdd0\disc\BLUS31159-[NCAA Football 14]\PS3_GAME\USRDIR. Open the game and see your changes! You will need to find the helmets, logos, pants, etc and edit them all. Once done, proceed to the next section. Now that you’ve made all of the graphical updates, it’s time to edit your team data. To do this you will need the EA DB Editor. Go ahead and open your dynasty file, which can be found by going to this directory: rpcs3\dev_hdd0\home\00000001\savedata. You can use either the Pocketscout Config or Xan’s Dynasty Config. Either way, you will want to go through the Teams tab and edit all of the essential info. Check the console instructions for full details on possible editing. That’s it! You’ve created your Teambuilder team!

Re: How To Create New TeamBuilders in NCAA Football 14
Are you aware of the uniforms config on page 36 of the already existing how to thread? It has everything written in it already so its super easy to edit. Its worked like a charm for me everytime.
https://forums.operationsports.com/f...&postcount=281 Based on your howto I think this could save you some time for sure

Academics (Scale 1-11)
Championships (Scale 1-11) TV Exposure (Scale 1-11) Facilities (Scale 1-11) Pro Potential (Scale 1-11) These items actually have a scale of 0-11 in the editor. As does Coach Loyalty, Program Stability and Tradition.
